Amazing tacos and kind staff. Outside seating available. $2.50/taco. Well worth the price and speed. I will be back in the future.

These tacos was delicious and very affordable. Hands down one of the best taco trucks I’ve stopped at in a long time. Highly recommended.

I love their staff, their burritos are so cheap and huge, and all their food is authentic. The ladies who work there are so sweet, and I am so sad to have moved from this area. Definitely my favorite place to eat.

Fantastic soft tacos - order the spicey, if you can handle it! Cheap, Fast, and Great. Use to be joined to another landmark taqueria - El Gato Negro... Fantastic food, by very simple decor.

I came here on Friday for lunch, looking for some relief from these ridiculous 100 degree days, I needed an agua fresca to put a chill on this oppressive Houston heat. I drove up to Laredo Taqueria and the line was out the door, not good. La Flor sits across the street from Laredo and the parking lot was empty. Their signage says agua frescas, so I decided to give it shot. I walked in and the air condition was out. Just what I was trying to avoid, but I did see the jars full of aguas. The waiter motioned to the left of the restaurant and pointed to the window unit. So if I sit on this side it won't be as bad, OK! I walked up to the window and ordered my tacos. This afternoon I decided to go with tacos de chicharones, pork chop in adobo sauce, and the spicy fajita. The chicharones were excellent, fried pork rinds in a spicy tomato salsa tossed in a corn tortilla and the pork chop taco was equally impressive. I was a bit disappointed with the spicy fajita taco, but that might be because I was actually craving Laredo's spicy fajita taco. Now for the thirst quencher, aguas fresca. They had four sitting in the traditional jars, Horchata, Tamarindo, Agua de Sandia, and Agua de Pina. My favorite at these places is the horchata, but I thought I would give tamarindo a shot. The combination of the heat from outside and the heat from the kitchen, the little window unit was having issues keeping up and the agua de tamarindo hit the spot. I wish I had time to try the other aguas, maybe on the next visit. La Flor worked for me in a pinch, but there are some really good taquerias in the area. I think they need to get their A/C fixed to, lets make it comfortable while eating greasy taqueria food. I walked out of here spending $6.50 on three above average tacos and a drink, that my friends is a bargain.

This is one of my favorite taqueria to visit when I am near the Heights. It is also one of the first Mexican Taqueria in Houston with authentic Mexican food. Washington street is one of the hottest real estate commodity now in Houston and soon all these little "hole in the wall joint" will disappear. I hate to see this place go. I recently had the Chili Relleno and it was the first time trying it at La Flor. You get the homemade flavor authenticity of it. The Chili Relleno was coated in an egg batter....which was very different then the ones I have tried which was with a starchy batter. I love the free complimentary chip and dip here. There are two dipping sauce. Green and red sauce. The red sauce is of red chili and tomato. The green sauce is made just right with a rich milky avocado taste and a hint of fresh jalapeno pepper. They make it just right with a lot of avocado and not too much jalapeno. The few Mexican Taquerias that serve this dip, make it way too hot. This is the only reason why I keep coming back to this place, because of the green avocado dip here. I like ordering extra to take home. Brenda's in Westchase is one of the few taquerias that serve this dip but a little spicier. I recommend eating the basic here. You can't go wrong on the barbacoa tacos or the lengua. The beef stew is good too. The meat from the stew is cooked long enough so that is soft and tender. Unfortunately this place doesn't have tamales. =( They don't open at nights anymore.
