Great specials. Wish they gave bigger portions. Place is across the street from my neighborhood and we keep coming back. Seems like they're special for two is what keeps people coming back.other than that.

Don't understand these reviews. If you are from Louisiana, you will be extremely disappointed. I ordered a oyster po- that had soggy oysters and red beans and rice that was horrible

I grew up in Lafayette and New Orleans Louisiana. So I am a huge fan of Cajun food in the Cajun way. While the food at this restaurant was good, it’s equivalent to someone from Mexico coming to Texas and trying Taco Bell and being asked, “well does it taste like authentic Mexican food?”. No of course it doesn’t.But it’s still good. We still love it.The food here is more like cafeteria style Cajun food if that makes any sense. It doesn’t have the same richness and texture and robustness that authentic Cajun food has.But then again so few places in Houston ever do. If you like seafood, and Poboys, I would definitely recommend this place. They have a two for $25 meal deal which in today’s economic times is very affordable. This is a perfect little ledge spot or just picking up something on the way home from work Kind of place. I would suggest it for date night or taking the boss out or anything like that. But if you just want something that feels good warms you up and taste delicious you can’t beat the price at the Bayou Cajun Café.Parking: There’s ample parking we had no problem finding a spot that was close to the building and well maintained.

I worked at Pappadeux’s and this place rivals it — with better price point. The crawfish etoufee combo was fantastic.

So Happy to have this place close by. The etouffee is my favorite- crawfish or shrimp. Both yummy! I usually get the half and half- fried and etouffee. It's not a fancy place. You order at the front and sit where you want. Simple place, good food.

The menu has classic New Orleans dishes. I had the gumbo and fried seafood plate. The waiter was polite, attentive and friendly. The restaurant is decorated in a style reminiscent of the French Quarter.

Orders are ready quickly, whether in-person or to-go. The food tastes just as good as the old Cajun Town restaurant.

I love the tilapia with the topping that has the crawfish in it. Super yummy. I always get mine to go and the service is fine.
