Yesterday I was very disappointed with the Captain’s Combo. Once I got home with my order I realized the catfish was missing and after eating half of the plate I started to feel sick. About 3am I was up sick like I had food poisoning and have literally been in the bed feeling sick all day. I’ve been to The Catch plenty of times and always had great experiences so I had to leave a review bc after this last experience I don’t plan on returning back.

The service was good, but mostly because the manager (?) Made sure we were taken care of. They offer a free drink with any dine in order, and the options were margaritas or a daiquiri. Neither were all the way frozen and not good in my opinion. (I didn't have any expectations on a free frozen drink).The food was over priced. I expected blackened shrimp in a salad to be a good size since I paid $15 for it, but they were small and barely seasoned. It was a salad I would have expected at a fast food place.

Literally just passing through and stopped at the catch and let me tell you something one thing for show one thang for certain the oysters is on point and fried okra everything!!!!!
I ate two crawfish, one bite of uncooked rice, one bite of the grilled “sausage” that at best was an Earl Campbell hot link, red beans were so watery the sausage chopped in the tasted like chewed up gum and half of a fried “catfish” aka tilapia filet. I also had the A/C dropping water on us. I called manager over and said this is terrible and he said let me refund you your money, which I truly appreciate because this had to be the WORST food ever! I could not give it negative stars but THIS AIN’T it!!!!

While waiting for my take-out order, I noticed the restaurant was very small. It seems like a great place for happy hour or watching Sunday sports. I'd definitely join friends there.Parking: The restaurant is located in an open shopping center, so there's plenty of parking.

Food is horrible. It appears that someone there thinks salt is a flavor instead of a flavor enhancer. The food was too salty, better yet, extremely salty. Had to discard most of the take out order when I was home. Staff need to dress professionally and look clean. Start with soap & water. Take a bath and groom. That goes for the females and the males. Also, it is really an ill feeling when someone brings you food with extremely long fingernails. The bacteria under those things could potentially be dangerous. This should not be allowed in food service and is a hazard to public health. Staff should know more about their menu items as well.

I order from here often, usually through DoorDash because I love their beignets and fish. I Never had an issue. This time when I ordered, I realized I was missing a couple beignets and I didn’t receive a paper receipt. I called and I got an apology. The excuse was that they were very busy today. I’m giving it a four because I never had an issue. Although I’m a very understanding person, the store being busy has nothing to do with me. That’s no excuse for me to be missing beignets or a receipt.

Today I had the French quarter dish and it was absolutely delicious. The reason you didn't get 5 stars is because of the beignets. Clearly those are biscuits and you can't fool a new Orleans native. Beignets are not biscuits and biscuits are not beignets. Please get some real honey to serve with them not syrup. It's just a middle finger to new Orleans cuisine
