Late night dinner after work on Wednesday. The special was dollar wings night - and the wings were surprisingly amazing! I really enjoyed it! The burger was delicious too. The place was pretty empty and looked like a lot of regulars for a Wednesday. The bar was understaffed so service was slow, but I enjoyed my dinner and drinks.

Food was good, beer is always good, but i guess the bartender had a problem with me asking for a 3rd beer. Straight up ignored 3 times asking for a 3rd, but brought the check right away. No more Wednesdays for me. Might try another day of the week but probably not. Sour taste in my mouth. 1836 replicated but never duplicated.

I found Velvet Oak Tavern on a Sunday morning while searching Google for a good brunch spot. Upon entering, I was greeted by the bartender who also seated me and took my drink and food order. The restaurant has a nice setup, and I'm sure it's the perfect place to watch sporting events. My order was not exactly what they had on the menu. I added a twist to mine, and I can't exactly remember what myself and the bartender did. However, when it came out, it was phenomenal! I was very impressed! You know it's good when you are dancing in your seat to no music! I loved the outside patio with the view of the street. It's perfect for people watching. I did notice they offered a military discount as I was leaving, which was a letdown, because I didn't know that prior to paying. I also didn't like the automatic gratuity added without knowing. If I'm ever in the area again. I'd stop in again and definitely take advantage of that discount.

Great ambiance, great tunes, food, and awesome service. They even have D&D nights twice a week!Only con is slightly limited parking on busy nights and they need to get better lights/security for the parking lot.

My car got broken into in the back. They could be serving 100.00 bills and ground Diamond rimmed drinks and I still would be giving 1 star. The ambiance in the back parking lot is too dark. Total bill plus drinks. 3800.00 (before insurance).

food came out really late and there was only like 3 tables, service was ehhh, but got added 20% gratuity on a 2 people table……. Ended up paying 50 sum dollars and we didn’t even order drinks

This is the ultimate brunch spot. My wife made reservations for 15+ just a few days before and they were able to accommodate and then some. Management and serve staff were phenomenal. Food was delicious and you can’t forget the mimosa spread. They have NFL Sunday Ticket which was vital for us. DJ was playing all the feel good cuts as well. Birthday brunch was a success!Kid-friendliness: There was a baby shower happening at the same time that we were there and we did see children.
