THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL RESTAURANT ITS A BAR!I’ve been coming here since it opened and I absolutely love it! Unfortunately most people can’t tell the difference between a bar that offers a few bites and a full on restaurant, this is fantastic bar that has phenomenal drinks (Mexican inspired with lots of tequila, mezcal and sotol along with the classics) they have some food options like tacos and ceviche, etc. The food I have had is great but this is not the focus of this place you come here for the drinks and you can get some great bar bites as a plus but again it’s not your typical restaurant! People posting reviews need to learn how to read first, if you go into their website they don’t advertise that they are a restaurant it’s mostly geared towards cocktails. Great happy hour! Cesar and Cathy are amazing!

I always have a great time at verde garden. Amazing drinks, atmosphere, and food. The GM Cathy is the best! You can tell she puts everything into verde and always makes sure you have a great experience. Ask for Cesar behind the bar. That man is a cocktail wizard and can actually levitate drinks into your hand with a flick of his wrist. Overall verde is a great time for any outing! Highly recommend 10 out of 10

OKAY SO… Food is OKAY. The meat was really good but the sauce was so mild.. service was the WORST! We had a server with a western hat and everyone was complaining about him! We sat down and had to wait at least 40 minutes for our drinks and he kept ignoring us lol.. we never had such a bad customer service experience. Environment is good and so is the decor but Just because of the service I don’t know if we will return… we will continue to go to cuchara lol

It is a very nice place for the very basic menu it has, apart from the fact that when we tried the guacamole we did not feel like ordering the food, it really had no flavor, the service was terrible, I do not recommend this place, it is better to go to a trailer to eat the basics of Mexican food, if you ask for chicharrón they will give you supermarket chips.

Great food and cocktails, service was spotty. Food was fantastic and cocktails were top notch. Room for improvement in the servers.Recommended for groups of friends, fun and lively atmosphere.Dined here with our friends and sat at a table outside. It was a bit loud due to so many people and the fountain and music so made it a little difficult to hear across the table (there were 6 of us). So not ideal for an intimate conversation type dinner. Better for celebrations!Service was confusing. Two servers tended to our table. One kept forgetting we ordered a round of drinks, and took 45 minutes for them to arrive. We ordered one drink and he said it wasn’t available. We thought that was odd. Only gave us 2 menus for 6 people and when I asked for more menus he never brought them. The other server, Christian, was great. Christian found the “unavailable” drink - it was misspelt in their system - and we bought a round!There is also an option to order at the register instead of table service inside.

Avoid this place. It’s awful. Here’s just a few gems from our experience:- as soon as we got here, with a reservation for 8, they asked us “how long are you going to be here, because they have to turn these tables over”- we had to wait forever to get menus, many tables were getting up to get their own- the server was terrible, unfriendly, and condescending- I ordered a Pina Colada, and it came out on the rocks. Haven’t heard of such a thing. Then I saw one being served to someone else and it was frozen. They told me I should have specified I wanted a frozen one ??♂️- I order the brunch breakfast tacos and breakfast quesadilla. The tortillas were like tissue paper, literally see-through. No taste.- after our server took our order, it was delivered by others and he barely spoke to us again. We even had to get up and get our own water refills except for one time when he briefly came back.This place has no chance.

Love the authenticity, I lived in the neighborhood for 7 years so understand the prices but damn , when you’re bartender told me about the related to heights Beir garden “freshly squeezed juices “ you’re over charging your clients for something that you should not have to . A pucker suffices . The best margaritas I’ve had in Houston are the Mexican candy - house frozen with watermelon pucker …but you guys don’t have that. I wanted to bring my company here and put the business tab on the next business tab but I don’t see that happening ?
