I recommend making reservations for large parties. Otherwise everyone will get their food one by one maybe 10 minutes apart. The food is slow coming. But it's very delicious.

I wish I took a picture the gumbo is out of this world they give you a piece of chicken and blue crab in this taste like heaven in my mouth gumbo. The butter beans with rice is magical with some greens. The catfish is breaded to perfection

After attending the Wine Fest in Kemah, we went to this restaurant based on positive reviews. What a delight! I cannot believe how exceptional the food was, which was only matched by the superior service. You seat yourself and order at the register. The wait staff gave a full description of the menu offerings, specials, and favorites. They were most pleasant and professional. We ordered the salmon and shrimp with curry rice, fried fish with plantains and potato salad, and slices of carrot and red velvet cake. Everything was freshly made to order, and the wait was worth it. Packed with flavor, hot, well presented, it's the best meal we have had in some time. I'll be certain to visit again, and I hope they're around for some time. It's a fantastic establishment!

You can just go ahead and ignore any reviews that aren't 5 stars, made by people that frequent ChickFilA. If you want real home cooked flavourful food, stop by. Worth the price and the wait. The building could use an upgrade, but if you want an authentic NOLA feel, I guess it fits. Easily 10/10

We love Viola & Agnes’ and have been coming here for couple of years now. It’s our go-to lunch spot after sailing and our favorites here are: Gumbo, Chicken & Buttermilk waffles and their Shrimp and Grits. They cook the food fresh for every order so there is a lengthy wait… That being said, the food is delicious and for us, so worth the wait!!

Ignore any negative reviews, unless you are a high maintenance person, then please do not take up valuable space here for the rest of us!! ? We only wish Chef Aaron had time to come out and soak up the love for his efforts! His staff do a fantastic job while he is busy creating this fabulous food! ?♀️

Absolutely terrific food! The shrimp and grits were fabulous. I ate until I was stuffed and still had plenty to take home.Dietary restrictions: I have food allergies. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, not my usual experience. Thank you.

Vibe is crazy. Is this Louisiana? In fact, the alligator from Princess and the frog was here playing trumpet with ET the extraterrestrial. Nice entertainment. Paper towers at the table. NICE DRINKS. And I don't mean alcohol. We got the poudin and it was pretty bussing. I liked the spicy pork bite whatever things. I don't know what they're called, it's not like I work here. I got the meat stew from the menu. Stay away. There's something in here that triggers the animal inside of me. If you are prone to transforming, do NOT eat this dish. The beans and rice and strange. They seem like they would be good, but there's something in them that makes it taste like something. I'm not going to share with you what that something tastes like. The collard greens were pretty good, but not TOO good, because if it were too good that would be too much. I recommend this place if you like transforming as a wild animal or experience Disney Pixar's magic such as Princess and the frog and or ET. Thank you all
