The Beans had the right amount of sweet, and the potato salad was not over powering. The gentleman who took our order was welcoming and knowledgeable in the product. We will definitely be back.

We were looking for a bbq place that catered for our upcoming family reunion. We were referred by an associate. We stopped by to taste and buy. We were very pleased. The ribs were delicious, fell right off the bone.The brisket was moist and tender. The sausage was good. We tried the potato salad, baked beans, charro beans and baked potato. We also tried the pecan pie which was good.
I didn’t take a photo of my sandwich; it didn’t look extraordinary. But it was really good, excellent taste and value. Highly recommend!

I am a global event planner who had a last minute group of 20 in need of lunch. I take my groups to 5-star restaurants that never have given me as great service and food!!! I called and was connected to the owner Adrian who without hesitation jumped in, without even asking for a deposit - on total faith reserved his busy Thursday lunch for my group, did a pre-order, reserved a long table, and served us quickly and got my group on the road and back to their meetings. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! Catfish - who knew, a group fav! **Please give your business to this family owned and operated restaurant - I can't tell you how wonderful they are!

I ordered the baked potatoe large 17.99 before tax is pretty high for a chopped beef baked potatoe.( I received chopped beef bits ) I also ordered the fish with fries 13.99 pre tax . I was unsatisfied with the amount food as well as presentation . I mean it just wasn't worth the cost of the food. Why slic a fish vertically into chicken tenders and charge $14.00 for 3 and 15 fries???..

Esthetic is very pleasing. The food is good but I thought the baked potato was going to be bigger and I wish they’d put the bbq on top instead of the small to go containers. I like a lot of sauce. It took a little while to get our order but then again, it was only 2 people working today. The atmosphere inside is so cozy and quaint. We will be going back soon.

I ordered a loaded baked potatoe and it was awful. It was served in a plastic to go container and the potato looked like microwaved mashed potatoes with toppings. My husband ordered a BBQ plate and his was microwaved as well. The meat was old and tasted bad. After seeing several dead roaches on the floor, we threw out our food and left. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Several years ago, I wrote a Yelp review for Virgie's and now it's gone. I wonder why, Yelp?I returned for lunch a few days ago and was the only diner inside at around noon. My order at the counter was for the 1 meat plate choosing sliced brisket, beans and potato salad. With a soft drink and tax my cost was $20 and the food was ready in less than 5 minutes.The brisket was good and tender and I liked the beans and mustard based potato salad too. They supplied two small containers of bbq sauce and a couple of slices of white bread. They charge extra if you want another small container of sauce. Other places it's free. I gave this meal a strong 3 score and would consider returning.Virgie's is in a stand-alone building with its own small parking lot. Check their business hours as they don't stay open late.
