This place is the only real BBQ place around where I live at. And to me it is a true & real BBQ place. I've been waiting to get to go back here and when I want barbecue or any barbecue this is the only place I go to or I just won't eat any barbecue unless I get to go there.

This is a great family dinning experience with good Texas meat falling off the bone ribs and flavorful chopped beef (I like a little fat meat with my chopped beef abs he did not disappoint) all the way baked potato. I was pleasantly surprised. The baked potato was good to me, however, it could have been cooked a bit longer for tenderness. Check it out. The seating filled up quickly when we arrived close to dinner time.

Amazing food, and the owner is a great dude. Stopped by when working in Houston, couldn’t make it back to pick it up and he shipped me the best beef jerky I’ve ever had. This blows buccees and Robertson’s out of the water. Thank you Rick!!!!

First, the food was awesome! I had the 3 meat platter with sausage, brisket, and ribs. All had a great smoke ring and the smoke flavor was spot on. I had green beans for the side which was really good also. The owner was very nice and even showed me the smoke set up in the back of restaurant. Definitely a great find I found on Yelp. Will be back! Oh yeah...I almost forgot...the sweet tea was awesome also.

My husband and I just got done eating here. Oh, my, lord! This is the best BBQ we've had in a long time! Rick took good care of us. Everything we had (ox tails, brisket, sausage, ribs, mac & cheese, baked beans, peach cobbler) was phenomenal! We will DEFINITELY be back and bringing others with us!

You MUST stop in here! Not only is it a cute atmosphere (you can sit on an outdoor bus!), but the food is simply a m a z i n g !!! When we stopped in, Rick greeted us and was absolutely fantastic! He was so friendly and he cooks it all up himself. We went on soul food Sunday and got the oxtail and ribs! He really loads up Your plate! It comes with two sides each. We ended up getting corn, candies yams, and cabbage. I can't even pick a favorite between them all because each was so so good! We had a peach cobbler too and it was delicious. We even ordered a blueberry cobbler half tray for after the holidays! Can't wait to try it.

Just Passing Through BBQ is a hidden gem in Huffman and, quite frankly, the best BBQ I've had. You can throw a dart at the menu and find your new favorite food. Saying that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant is an understatement. Do yourself a favor and make Just Passing Through your next stop for BBQ!

This is some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Its a small establishment but the people who run the place are passionate and care about the food they share with their customers. So glad I drove down 1960 to see the "open" grill out front, just an awesome place all around.
This was my first time stopping here to eat and the food was assume. I would also like to add that the customer service from Rick was amazing. I will continue to come back to this restaurant not only for the good food but the best customer service ever. Also the prices are reasonable

I know what you are thinking when seeing the outside: should I stop there; should I trust it; will I encounter Leatherface and end up as BBQ? I can only say you should be so lucky! This place is heavenly: sausage, brisket, ribs, beans, potato salad, and cobbler. I went to try a few items and left with buying parents dinner and shall return maybe twice weekly on the way home. Let me say, there is NO BBQ place worth their name anymore and trekking to Liberty from Humble was the only option - until now. So, stop passing the bus and go right on through to the best BBQ. The owners are social and are there to even say "c'mon back, we have nothin' to hide" concerning the smoke emanating from the pits out back which I shall gladly do. Oh, there are many outside seating areas, so when the trees cease melting in this summer heat, visit and sit outside and read or talk or watch them cook. Sadly, only 5 stars can be given. I dare you, go and check it out. I promise you you will never be sorry!

Horrible customer service nothing but attitude.. I live by this restaurant and pass by it 10 times a day so I decided to stop by one evening close to closing at 7pm. It looks like you can order from the window outside below the menu I knocked on it and was told to come inside where this guy had a crazy attitude and told me it was because he was busy and I had knocked on the window. I asked what was on the loaded potatoes and he asked me what do I want to be on it? Very rude wouldn't recommend. I'm african American so who knows maybe that was his problem.

I had brisket, ribs, chopped beef baked potato, peach cobbler, Mac and cheese and the Boudain Balls - they were the size of a tennis ball filled with Cajun rice, brisket and cheese - it was delicious! I NEVER buy anyone else's Mac and cheese - only theirs- soo Soo good the meats - filled with the scent of smoke-- I really enjoy stopping by - not just for the food but for the customer appreciation type service I receive from Rick. Thank you for sharing your skills at bbqing.
