Service needs to be worked on. There was only a cpl people there so I didn't understand why service was lacking. If your putting an inexperienced bartender during the day because you think it's slower and he can manage unfortunately he needs help and needs to learn more knowledge of drinks.

The service was great and the place was beautiful with a great view. The food was just okay. I wouldn't go back for the food but it's a nice place to stop in for a drink.
1pm in the afternoon it was a quiet time, not busy at all. Had all you could eat fish fry for 2. Our meals were hot and appetizing with 3 fish filets,fries,hush puppies, and cole slaw. We did not care for the slaw. Loved the ambiance, soft music, and scenery with a view of lagoon. Had interactions with Steven, Edgar, and a young lady, and all were very friendly and professional. I am looking forward to the next visit for their Sunday Brunch 10-4pm.
I went to establishment because it came to my email from Open Table as black owned which turned out not to be true after speaking with manager. He actually fixed it while we were there. They were having a big party so there was no clean dishes or silverware. The appetizers Mac and Cheese balls and the boudain eggrolls were horrible. I did voice it to the manager but he did nothing to make it right. After I got home and thought about it did he really not know that his establishment was showing “black owned” for the entire Black History Month?? I must say our waitress was the best and the drinks were good.
The restaurant was not ready for our reservation at 11AM on Sunday. We walked in as the hostess showed up to work, and she mentioned that she thought they opened at Noon, when it clearly states 11AM on the door and inside. Tom, the Chef, was ready and a very nice gentleman, but there was no one else around or the lights on at all. He offered to serve us, if we could wait for other members of the staff to show up, but we were on a time crunch. I would suggest for Tom to look for better jobs out there because he seemed like a great Chef/guy all around. We are never going back here again.

This was a good experience made great by the staff. They worked as a team and seemed to be putting in extra effort to ensure we had a great time. The restaurant is more like seating between the front door and the pool. There was four guys in our party so we started with one of each of the appetizers. All the apps were good, but the chicken quesadilla was the best of the group with the egg rolls in second place. I also had the “Goat Burger”. The Jalapeño jelly is house made and really good! Overall I think the food was average with the things I mentioned being really good, but the staff made everything seem better. Blanca was our server and she really worked to keep our drinks full and food coming.

Need better wait staff. Not attentive, was no where to be found and when we asked the other waitress, she didn't seem interested. Ordered wine and food and the food got to us first.

The drinks were not great. Ordered a cocktail with little ice, got lots of ice and it just tasted of juice…. They were great and changed it for us.The boudin egg rolls were ok, not amazing…I had the salmon, a little over cooked for me and under seasoned, saying that I ate it all!The cookies were a massive hit.
My wife and visited and we thoroughly enjoyed or meal and atmosphere. Will be back!

just stopped by for their “wine down wednesday” where they offer half off wine. live music in the lobby and such a chill vibe. the food was great (gotta try the boudin egg rolls!)the staff were super nice and friendly. staff members mystery and blanca were awesome! would come back just because of them.i’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I are new residents of Balmoral and dined at the Blue Lagoon for the first time today. We were not disappointed. We were warmly greeted at the door by the professional and personal Steve. The food was delicious and served in timely manner by efficient staff. Our dinner guests were equally pleased. Looking forward to dining often.

This is a must go to restaurant. The ambience, service, and drinks are amazing. The food menu is a little small but they rotate the menu every few months so give it try. Plus they have different events going on weekly. I’ve lived in this area for over 30 years and it’s the best well rounded restaurant in this area by far!!
