They will start you with some of the best cornbread accompanied by regular butter and cinnamon honey butter. Then come the real food portions of delicious home style entrees. Stop and try them and enjoy the awesome decor

Mentioned chicken fried steak to a co-worker. They told me that this was the place to go if that is what I wanted. Stopped by on a Wednesday around lunch time. 15 minute wait for a party of two, good things are worth waiting for. Complimentary fresh cornbread with the option of butter and honey butter to start the meal. Ordered the chicken fried steak with mashes potatoes and fried okra. Best chicken fried steak I've had by far. Okra was perfect, and the mash potatoes were great. This place has a lot of history and the decor is a cool theme to go along with the history. They also make their own sodas and pies as well. Will definitely be back.

This used to be a great place. The last time I was here and today the chicken fried steak was terrible. It tasted like it was cooked in old grease.

Very disappointed with the food, my office had ordered in the past and it was delicious. Today we ordered, not sure if they have changed cooks but the food was not good at all. Very disappointed.

Everything was tasty, fresh, and prepared perfectly. Service was friendly and efficient. Sometimes there’s a wait, but there are lots of tables in this historic 1914 building. I would like to come back and try their breakfast next time!

This was our first visit to Humble City Cafe. The pancakes were so fresh and flavorful! The serving sizes were generous, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The atmosphere had a warm, small-town greeting. I'd definitely return.

Very homey! I go there so often I know the staff and vice versa. The food is absolutely delicious and very down to earth. You get what you order, and exceeds your expectations by a mile. The decorations in the dining rooms are very interesting, and historically informational. My family and I enjoy playing "I Spy" with the trinkets hidden around the restaurant. I personally recommend the Monty Cristo and the breakfast platter, both of these are perfect for any day you need a good, filling meal. 10/10 would recommend!

This visit could have been a LOT better. We are not new to the Humble Cafe. We used to come here from time to time and then they became very lax in the quality so we stopped coming for over two years. A couple of months ago we decided to give it another try and were pleasantly surprised. We got hamburgers then, and no complaints. So this evening we tried it again. Again, we were surprised, but this time it was not pleasant. The pot roast was the special of the day, so we both ordered that . Hubby got mashed potatoes and fried okra. I got mashed potatoes and cabbage. The server brought out a skillet of cornbread and all I can say about it was that I wasn't aware cornbread could be that dry as it was and still hold together....which it didn't after it was cut. I am not sure when it was made, but it was barely warm, not hot enough to melt the butter, and instantly turned into cornbread particles after it was cut. As far as taste, the pot roast actually tasted pretty good. The "gravy" was, I think, more of a gelatin than it was gravy. The mashed potatoes tasted good enough, except there must be a potato shortage because I believe they used a extra small ice cream scoop for the portion. The chief complaint is that everything, EVERYTHING, except Hubby's okra, was barely warm. No where near hot. Also, as a kicker, never once was a drink refill offered. We are done with this place. Maybe in a couple more years we will try it again....if it is still open. ATTENTION Owners/Manager: The food you serve is not hot enough!!

Very good, always good food, scratch made and homemade. We don't go there enough. I would give them 5 stars but my porkchops were cooked until very hard, way past well done, next time I will ask them to cook them medium. Chicken Fried Steak is awesome as are many other dishes that they offer. We did not take any pictures today but we will Sunday when we go back.

Best chicken fried chicken I've had in a restaurant. I love the cornbread and cinnamon butter. The veggies are always fresh and the daily specials are good as well. They've changed their cream gravy recipe. That's my only complaint. I wish they'd go back to the old recipe.

Had a great lunch! Thanks Nic. P, the salad and the Cajun grilled catfish were delicious. We'll be back soon.

Been going here for years. CFS is my favorite. Fried zucchini is awesome, too.
