I have the same review basically as another review. New to this area and in the mood for the whole James Coney experience. I walked in and it was so hot inside the restaurant that I sat outside...in the afternoon sun. There were two others eating inside with two workers behind the counter. Restaurant was clean. But when the worker took the bun and wiener together out of the steamer I knew this wasn’t going to be as good as I remembered. The hot dog wiener was so small inside the chewy bun I couldn’t see it. I literally took a couple bites of the hot dog then took my chips and drink and left. Sorry I wanted to like it.

Many years ago, we used to drive to downtown Houston and buy coneys and chili at their original location. It is always a trip back in time when we visit their location on FM1960, near Deerbrook Mall. The most amazing thing is that the coneys and chili we had a few days ago still have that wonderful distinctive delicious taste that we’ve loved all these many years. Their award-winning recipe has stood the test of time. We highly recommend you try James Coney Island.
