Nice ambiance for a 'strip mall' place. Food, service, prices and cleanliness are all very good. Bent Box prices at lunchtime are a bargain. Great Tempura, 'real' (not pre-cooked) rice, the Sushi and Sashimi are extraordinary. They serve a small salad, as well as Miso soup, with the Bento Box lunch - a nice touch.

Ordered to-go beforehand; was told to pick up at 6:50pm.It wasn't ready until 7:15pm, and they left it sitting there for 5 minutes, knowing we were waiting and had been waiting.Food was good, but a couple of rolls fell apart.

It's been too long since I've been here, got stuck on some other Japanese restaurants...found out tonight that it's my loss. Take away on 4 rolls, New Ninja, Hawaiian, Wasabi and salmon skin roll. The later being run of the mill but it was tasty and inexpensive. Wife wanted a cooked roll so got her the New Ninja, this giant had a huge portion of soft shell crab with large fresh slices of avocado on top, delish! I at the Hawaiian and Wasabi both from the fresh fish speciality roll section. Took a few seconds and a small amount of soy to get acclimated to the Wasabi but, wow, it was amazing with a chunks of salmon and tuna wrapped in soy paper with sticky rice on the outside. Their menu is deep, I'm sure their sashimi is spot on...next time I'm grabbing a table. I inhaled my rolls but managed to take a pic of the soft shell crab with most of it intact.

Yellow tail heaven is Heaven! Went two days in a row and tonight I asked for thinner cut jalapeños and they accommodated me perfectly. The whole staff is professional and kind. The vibes are chill and the bar seating is my preference. I'm actually coming back tomorrow with some friends so day 3 sushi! It's on! Thank you to the staff.

My first time dining here. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and the service was very fast. I ordered a cucumber salad, the stuffed mushroom appetizer, and the California roll. The cucumber salad came with shredded crab mixed in, and the dressing tangy sweet but with a little spicy kick on the back end. If you order the stuffed mushroom appetizer, I recommend sharing it with others as it is a good sized appetizer. This place has relaxing interior decor, so I never felt rushed to dine and run. Please come visit Ahoyama and enjoy their sushi art!

Delicious little spot we found!! We tried the Hawaiian Roll (SO GOOD, ponzu was delicious), Salmon Skin, Crispy Rice with spicy tuna, and some nigiri. The nigiri was absolutely amazing. We tried the spicy scallop, peppercorn tuna, mackerel, and freshwater eel. Atmosphere was cute, a darker ambiance, which I loved. Server was attentive and didn’t forget our extra sauces which was a nice touch as always.
