We’ve dined here several times over the years. If it were closer we’d be there more often. Always a great experience. Inside is nice - dark with dark table cloths to give a more upscale feel. The food is wonderful with a menu filled with Italian favorites including veal and some interesting items that you might not expect. They have a table-side flaming wheel carbonara - which I haven’t tried but how could it not be good. I recall a steak that you could cook over rocks as well. I had a dry aged NY strip for the first time the other night and it was amazing. The chef makes great food and this steak was exceptional. Great place.

We used to love this place. We live in Houston. Drove into town to celebrate an anniversary. I ordered the veal and my wife the Jerusalem Chicken. The chicken was great. My veal was not veal. It was very rubbery. Veal should be so tender you cut it with a fork. This was impossible to eat. I informed the waitress her service was great … the food not so much

I had one of the greatest dining experiences of my entire life tonight. Our server, Antonio, was absolutely incredible. He was very attentive and personable. The Filet On The Rocks was the best steak that I’ve ever had and the Oasis Cake was to die for! I’ll be telling everyone that I know about La Bistro Italian Grill. I can’t wait to come back to try some of the other menu items.

Simply the best authentic Italian food I have found in Texas!! I absolutely LOVE the menu options, presentation, taste, and also the impeccable service. Cozy ambiance, lovely hand crafted cocktails and friendly staff. La Bistro is family owned and it shows! I love everything about it. I was fortunate enough to join for a private party and sample numerous dishes. Every single one was incredible. 10/10 best Italian around. Highly recommend!!!

The most amazing Chilean Sea Bass and creamy risotto with buerre blanc. They had a live pianist, that made such a cozy and runabout

We were there for Valentine’s Day last night. It started out pretty good but went pretty downhill. They had a special valentines menu, 79.99 per person which included shared appetizer, soup/salad each, entree each, and shared dessert. We ordered the fried cheese ravioli and it was good and come out quickly. We both ordered Caesar salad which were both good. For our entree we both elected to pay $29.99 extra each for the dry aged ribeye. It was to come with honey brussel sprouts, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. When we finally got our entrees (service significantly slowed down, it took an hour between salads and entrees, but it was Valentine’s Day), we were brought steaks smothered in a mushroom Marsala sauce with Brussels, carrots and mashed potatoes. We suspected we received the wrong steaks as the dry aged ribeye description didn’t mention any mushroom Marsala sauce. There was other steak menu items that mentioned having the steak Marsala sauce, so we assumed it was a mixup. We asked our waiter and he informed us that our steaks were indeed the dry aged ribeyes and that the sauce was supposed to come on the side. We found that odd since the menu description for the dry aged ribeye didn’t mention that. However, we didn’t want to wait another hour for entrees so we ate the steaks. We both ordered medium and these were probably well done. The steaks didn’t taste like they had any seasoning and they were tough. I firmly believe we did not receive the dry aged ribeyes but the sirloin with mushroom Marsala. We had tiramisu for dessert and it was good but it took us 20 minutes to receive it after we ordered.I feel kinda bad for our server. I forget his name but I think he had too many tables. We didn’t see him much and he wasn’t able to be very attentive.Overall we’re pretty disappointed with the service and the entree that we paid over $200 for on a special night out (we didn’t even order drinks). This was our first time here and I was excited to try a local place with good reviews. We could have gone somewhere fancier like Perry’s in Grapevine and paid the same amount for much better food and service.

Personally, I would not book here again, especially for VDay. I'm not quite sure what happened, but my wife and I had reservations for 730pm. We did not get seated until 9pm a whole 1.5 hours after our reservation time. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that some things were out of their control, but accepting too many reservations is certainly in their control. Once seated, we attempted to order from the $79.95 per person prix fix menu, but the appetizer we wanted was sold out, so we had to settle for something that we did not want, which in my opinion, should not happen on prix fix menus. We got the rest of our dinner and took the dessert to go as we had already been out later than expected. We informed the manager of our sentiments and headed out. The atmosphere is nice but food wise, nothing special, definitely had better at other spots. Hope this was just a one-time situation for everyone elses sake.

We had a reservation at 7pm. We didn't get seated till almost 8 pm. It took over 15 minutes before we had anyone come to our table. The owner finally came and got a waitress there. No one told us about your special valentines menu until we sat down and it was handed to us. $79.95 per person was very expensive for the menu that was presented. It took over an hour to get served and forever to get our desert and bill. We didn't walk out of the place till after 10:00 pm. I've been there many times, great food and always on time. But this night you guys lost a faithful customer.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience. The what I assumed to be owner went out of his way to make our group of 7 feel like we had been customers for years. (This was our first time) I 10/10 recommend giving this place a try!

Came here for the first time. Celebrating a birthday. I will say this was a very nice experience. The atmosphere and service was top notch. Dinner was amazing. Ordered the sirloin on a rock , my goodness. I’ve eaten at numerous steak houses and this was one of my new favorites. I’m looking forward to returning again and hopefully try the steak again and the appetizers.
