Typical mom/pop style American style Mexican restaurant. Interior most likely hasnt changed since they opened. Meal was decent. Salsa has a slight spice which is good. Server brought plenty of chips and fast refills. Was not a big fan of the queso. It was like a watered down yellow cheese velveeta. Decent place if you wanna get something close by for a reasonable price. But because we are here in DFW there are a lot of other better options within miles.

Hours ….The OPEN hours on line do NOT match the hand written sign posted in the window !The sign in the window at this location says they CLOSE at 8pm everyday.We arrived at 7:30 pm Saturday and after 3 different employees walked passed us / looked at us and did not say Hello or anything we decided to leave!Poor Customer Service.

Taco salad was really good and I love that they give me sour cream, cheese and guacamole because a lot of places make you pick one or the other. Pulido's gives you both! The chips and salsa are great and so are the refried beans. The second time I went, they did burn the shell for my taco salad. The one in the picture is from the first time that I ate here and it was perfect. I'll definitely be a regular here for lunch.

This place does a very good job for the marketplace in which they choose to operate. They get up every day and deliver excellence one day at a time, and they are consistent. I moved to the neighborhood 33 years ago, and there’s no way to know how long I have been patronizing them, but it’s been a while. I like to choose places that behave as an entrepreneur would. Their manager has been there over 30 years, and the table servers are the same faces over and over. They stay with the brand, which reveals the company is compensating them fairly, and treating them well. I’m very regular with them, and they treat me like royalty. I wouldn’t know the manager, Mr Lopez, is not an owner if he hadn’t told me. The sell Tex-Mex at moderate prices and I’ve never gotten anything in there I had to return to the kitchen. I’m very fond of their lunch portioning as they offer human sized meals rather than the industry trend of over-portioning everything then trying to show the customer value with a take-out box. I want to buy just enough, and take nothing with me, and that’s getting more difficult in dining out everywhere, but more difficult with corporate brands. It’s a family business with several stores in a circle maybe 100 miles around this area. I don’t know if we could label that a chain, but they don’t act like corporate owned chains. The windows on their building are facing away from the street which I believe makes them harder to notice and pull in passer-by business. They have built a healthy business at this location in spite of that, and I believe this is their store number one. At lunch the place looks more like the City of Hurst TX company cafeteria. Countless officers and city staff are in there. Anytime someone is a stranger in a new town looking for the place to eat go find the police cars, and you’ve found a good place. They make your food to order, but the cuisine allows them to prepare it very fast. Lots of times I’m in there because of their speed, and the fact I can’t bear any more fast food. I’m usually all about beef, thus their fajitas are a favorite. But, I’ve purchased many different recipes in there and they are always good, and the portions human sized. They offer various margaritas, and I believe some beer, but not a full bar. In our city I believe there are 18 Tex-Mex choices, thus the competition is stiff, and they have made it for decades now. Oh yeah, I’d recommend them, and it’s a delight to write a review like this. If they closed I’d be lost for a place to grab something quick for lunch that doesn’t come in a sack. Sadly, Covid has forced some of their outlying stores to close, and I hope they can heal from that. They have been a part of my life since the 1960’s, and I’m still coming back.

My sister and I shared nachos. They were great and filling. Loved the warm chips. The salsa could use a little more spice but it was food.Lived the atmosphere and our waitress didn't hover over us but checked on us regularly!First time coming here and will not be our last! Great place
