Loved him and his amazing serviceOur food was delicious, and adonis kept us up to date with timing even though he had a full area! Go, adonis!Our cappuccino was delicious! It was perfectly sweet, and the whipped cream was fresh. The french toast had a nice crunch and wasn't too moist. Some places have it soaked in the egg mixture!My blue hippo pancakes came out a lot bigger than i expected. It was soo moist and PACKED with blueberries. I was in blueberry heaven. Add the maple syrup, and it's a party in your mouth!

Deceptive business practices! The price printed on the menu is NOT the price you will be charged. An "Admin Charge" is added to your bill without notice. Very shady! Be forewarned.I had the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs. Not bad, but nothing special. Meh.My server, Danielle, was excellent. She was cheerful and helpful! If you run a competing restaurant in the Hutto area, hire Danielle. She deserves better than her current employer.

The Hippo Café is a little slice of heaven in Hutto, Texas. A friend brought me here for breakfast on 4/12/24. The first thing you see is a lovely display of desserts upon entry. We were seated and served by Danielle. She was friendly and provided thoughtful advice and service . Their menu offers up breakfast lunch, and dinner with more than enough options. The portions are huge and beautifully plated.When my chicken fried steak arrived,It was a serving for 2 , which equals three for me this meal will literally be my breakfast lunch and dinner and I am happy for it.

Finally decided to try HC based off the good reviews, unfortunately we were disappointed. The food was soaked on oil, very small portion, pancakes were meh. Never got offered more coffee. My husband tried the breakfast taco, couldn’t even finish it. I wish they had homemade salsa not packets. Overall not good.

Tried this spot for breakfast and left unimpressed. Food was not that great, not a whole lot of flavor. Service was good but they sneak in a 4% admin fee on your check without telling you. Didn't notice until we checked the receipt after paying and is frankly cowardly.

The service here is always professionally friendly. They don't have rice on their menu, but each time I had breakfast here, I ask and they have it. This morning the rice was exceptionally tasty and gave my veggie omelet a great flavor topped with salsa. Mahalo Nui Loa Hippo Café Team for going above and beyond Ssrvice Excellence!

Not only does this place have fantastic customer service(small town home feel to them ❤️)But their catfish is probably the best restaurant grade fried catfish we've ever had(and I'm Cajun!)Massive bonus is the art work around the whole place!The works along the walls of the restrooms is truly beautiful!New Favorite hands down!
The gem of Hutto! We've been a number of times, never had a wait, and always have been met with friendly welcomes, genuine smiles and attentive service. The food is home style, big portions and delicious.
