“I absolutely love this place. I was able to get tamales, my favorite Mexican food. There were beef, pork and chicken tamales, they are delicious. The restaurant is small but likes family kitchen. Service was friendly. We are all agreed that it’s the best Mexican food we’ve ever had.”
“Really great burritos! We stopped here on our way to Big Bend and had the brisket burritos with salsa. Simple and delicious. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend if you find yourself out this way!”

“Kenny's Donuts, Tory and I want to thank you for the prompt food orders and the BEST hamburgers in town. The hamburgers y'all make do not taste like restaurant hamburgers. They taste like home cooked hamburgers. We LOVE all of the food choices from breakfast to donuts to sandwiches and MORE. NEVER disappointed with service or the food. You all always have a warm greeting and smiles on. THANK YOU The Cox's”
“Quaint and surprising little taco shop in a small town. They didn't have drinks left (which is a huge minus when dining in) but the service was very good and the dining comfortable. The asada was a little dry, but we came in late after lunch. The carnita was on point. Prices couldn't be beat. Take a drink just in case!”

“Traveled through Iraan. Stopped and ordered lunch buffet. All home cooked food. Chopped Steak with mushroom/onion gravy, stewed beef, catfish, enchiladas, rice, mashed potatoes, green beans plus salad bar and tea for $15. Excellent meal.”
“Out of Towners, stopped in thanks to Yelp! The service was great, one young lady running the entire show! Food was good, more authentic than we normally get. Casual local small town ambiance. Definitely stop by!”

“Amazing experience. We took a detour to try out Salt Creek and it was well worth it. It was rib day and that was excellent but we had to try the grilled cheese and brisket (with jalapenos and onions) based on the local's recommendation... delicious. Both came with sides and blueberry cobbler... All home made!!! The chefs, Mike and Charlie, spent some time talking with us while our dog enjoyed checking out the backyard and covered deck dining area. I couldn't ask for a better Texas lunch. Note for vegetarians keeping their meat eater friends company, I believe the potato salad and Mac and cheese are meat free... And the cobbler!”
