Food was great! They charge extra for grilled onions and Chile toreado (they forgot to put it in my order, but made sure to charge me for it) ordered 15 tacos and 1 quesadilla, they only gave me 2 salsas. As a reminder to check your order before leaving!

I booked them to cater an event for my store a week in advance & paid a $500 deposit. My booking was canceled the night before the event without any valid reason or advance notice. This abrupt cancellation, while already problematic, was followed by the fact that the $500 deposit had not been refunded in full. It's one thing to deal with the cancellation, but the real blow came from the company's inability to handle the situation with appropriate professionalism and respect for their clients. The only excuse they gave is "my grandma doesn't want to do it unless you're willing to pay a little more" LOL what a joke. I don't think grandma should be in business if she doesn't know how to run one. Screenshots will be posted of our conversation so everyone can see the type of business they run. I think Carlos thought messaging me two days after the event was supposed to make things up & expected me to come into their restaurant to try their food while they still owe me money from the deposit that wasn't refunded in full. Good luck to you in the future.

I had an EXTREMELY disappointing experience with El Jefe taco truck. They accepted my grand opening event job but canceled the night before, past midnight. The sudden cancellation caused inconvenience and required me to find an alternative solution at short notice. It showed a lack of professionalism and respect for my time and effort in organizing the event. I hope they improve their communication and reliability in the future.

Came to Tacos el Jefe on a whim after scrolling through Yelp. It's across the street from Walgreen's and shares a parking lot with the 'Dollar Depot'. And it's also worth mentioning that the restaurant is take out only. For what I'm assuming is a limited time they are offering free horchata to anyone who leaves a review on Yelp or google. The tacos were authentic street tacos, with the exception of the pastor. There wasn't any pineapple and it didn't appear to be roasted pork, it was actually kind dry if I'm being honest. My favorite part of the meal was easily the consume. All in all, for the price ($2.50-3.25/taco), this was just an average experience, would stop by if I'm in the area, but wouldn't drive out of my way again.
