I had a great first visit at Newk's this week! There was an employee who greeted me as soon as I entered. Unfortunately, I didn't get his name, but he was white with a beard- I had a feeling he is the manager. I let him know it was my first time to try their food and he was beyond helpful, explaining the menu and having patience with my questions. I opted for the portobello sandwich and a side Greek salad. The aroma in my car driving home was heavenly! The sandwich was large and was stuffed full of mushrooms and peppers. So good! The salad container looks small, but don't let that fool you. It is very filling and the dressing (made at the restaurant) was yummy. They offer a nice variety of pescatarian options, including a spicy shrimp pizza which sounds delish. I will definitely return! Thank you to the gentleman who made my first visit a pleasant one!

Very disappointing!I definitely expected better but what I got looked like something made in prison.....not my idea of a shrimp po boy.....very poor and cheaply prepared. You guys really need to do better. You should be ashamed to throw something together like that and charge $15.46. That is not a shrimp po boy and you should consider removing it from your menu. You took about 5 pieces of thawed raw shrimp from a package, added some wilted lettuce, onion and put it on a bun. Really?? I definitely won't be ordering anything from there.

90 percent of time I’m happy! However Took one star away due to employees. I had ordered the salad that has feta cheese and I could tell right off the bad the feta went bad. They reopened a new one and replaced it however, I believe the feta they had there all together might be bad. Yes feta has a bad smell as it is however I’ve had this salad a lot of times and it was never an issue. With that being said I requested my money back and the young lady helping me was great. I Apologized for the back and forth however I did not want to risk listeria. With that being said while all of this was going on the employees just stared at me the whole time. No apologies no “I’m sorry mam” just stared and spoke amongst each other. I honestly feel that the employees need to work on their customer service as it made me uncomfortable. The feta all together should taste tangy rich and a little salty. I hope they don’t serve this and get a new batch.

Second Foodsby order from Newk's delayed - this by 1.5 hours. Was really hoping to have lunch before my afternoon meetings kicked in. Never againUpdate: They did refund the cost of the meal - bumping this from a 1 to a 4.

I took a bad picture, but the turkey avocado sandwich is so amazing. The bread has an awesome chewy texture. The turkey and avocado were great too. I usually don't enjoy sandwiches that much, but this place is astounding.

Sandwich good, but gumbo horrible. No crackers at the "condiment bar" Wait staff not interested in getting any. Embarrassed me with my out of town business client. Never go Back!
Great selection of sandwiches, soups. Got thier half sandwich and soup selection was very good.

Food is GREAT!! The Irving location's hours are HORRIBLE!! Closed on weekends & only open until 3:00 during the week. You guys are missing out on a lot of business!!

They’re just closed a lot of the time. Closed on Saturdays, closed after 3pm every other day. Great food, I just have to eat somewhere else most of the time. ??♂️

Great variety. Fast and friendly service. Tasty food combined with rather low pricing and Clean, comfortable seating makes this a five. Fun atmosphere with a visible kitchen. And several restaurants around town. Had the portobello veggie pizza today. Great tasting with a pesto sauce. Also like Newks favorites and Q's menu items.
