Ate here a little over a week ago on a Monday night. The dining room is beautiful, our waitress was friendly, and the food was very good. However, to echo some other reviewers, the pricing is too high. Is the customer paying a premium for the dining room itself? Two drinks (one alcoholic, one a mocktail) two entrees, and a bread (not naan--I can't remember which, it was a suggestion by server) was $200. The 20% service fee wasn't disclosed and was a sour note added to what had otherwise been a nice evening. As a note to the restaurant, unfortunately an undisclosed service charge is likely to alienate some of your customers and a deterrent to repeat business. I am someone who has been deterred. Food for thought!

Ambiance is great. Food is flavorful. Lamb was excellent. Shrimp was good. Service seemed like they were new on the job. The automatic 20% service charge is ridiculous. Tips are earned as a result of good service.

Honestly DFW needed a high end Indian Restaurant like Sanjh. The whole meal was outstanding. Transported me back to India. The flavors, the execution and the presentation were spot on. I can honestly say that this one of the BEST meals I've had in DFW. I love Indian food, I cook Indian food extensively, I spend hours in India finding the right spices in the right markets throughout India so trust me when I say this was just like dining in a high end restaurant in Bombay. Not to mention, the service was like a high end restaurant in India. Shout out to our server Sushmita, she was attentive and LOVED her job. You can tell she exuded enthusiasm about working there and we loved all of her recommendations. She deserves a raise. We will be back dining here once a month. Bravo to the entire team.

Food was amazing ! We sat at a bar table and it was perfect ! We had sauces left and took them home to make our own yummy dishes

I recently dined at Sanjh and I wish I could say good things other than the service was good. Drinks were not bad but over priced and the food looked good presentation wise but was bland and the curries too sweet. I included video of the shakargandi chaat which was presented beautifully but OMG IT WAS ROTTEN !! They claimed to be a creative kitchen but nothing out of the ordinary in their OLD DELHI BUTTER CHICKEN, GOAT BIRYANI, METHI CHAMAN especially having travelled to India many times and dining at high end restaurants. DO NOT order the PUDINA LACHHA PARATHA!! It was soooo much pudina in it was crazy, thry just spilled it on the paratha . I would not try or recommend this restaurant at this moment. I hope they increase their standards and become a true good fine dining restaurant because the location and ambience is beautiful but until they get the product/food right which is the most important thing in a restaurant, I'll pass for now!!!

Sanjh has a long way to go to display the standards for the market they are trying to get into. Ambiance is good and place is located in upscale neighborhood. Service was average. Server did not explain the menu or asked about allergies. Wine glasses wee full of lint. I requested a side of onions which never came. They were supposed to serve individual desserts but the only brought two sets for a party of 4. We kept on waiting and upon asking we were offered two more and to my surprise neither of the three desserts were Indian. I requested to speak with the Owner who was sitting at the bar but they never bothered to come. I would never visit this place again.

I never ever write reviews. I wish I could give this place 5 stars. We were seated right near the open kitchen and could hear the head chef yelling out of anger at the other staff and one of the wait staff started crying! I am voicing this in hopes that the people who work there get treated with respect. Food was fantastic, ambience was also stellar!

Overall experience was extremely disappointing. Priced and advertised as fine dining, but food and service quality was fast casual at best. Our waiter was extremely casual, did not walk us through the menu, did not tell us everything was family style, and felt like it was his first time waiting tables. Very small portions (to be expected with fine dining), but in this case was the same quality as Indian takeout (like the 30 options available in the area). We ordered a desert that had an alcohol flambee that was supposed to be poured over a desert; literally there were two drops that were poured over the course. To make it all worse, they include a 20% gratuity for all checks. Would've tipped 10%. We will be sticking to Indian takeout from one of the many options nearby.

I live down the street and heard so many wonderful things about this place. So my girl and I decided to check it out tonight. I ordered the duck for my main and she ordered the mushrooms. Both were flawless in flavor and presentation. We had the prawns as an appetizer and the kale salad. All of the food items were exceptional. I eat at high-end restaurants often, and I do think that their prices are on par with other upper scale places in the city. For example, the duck at most restaurants is around $45. Same basic portion size. They have a decent wine by the glass selection. Nothing too abusive. Orrin Hatch glass of wine was $20. The staff is very friendly. They give you new plates for each course. And they are very attentive. So I think the overall customer service, ambience and food quality is 4 to 5 stars. People may think the prices are a little aggressive or ambitious, but the guy back there really knows how to cook, and the construction of these dishes is world class. The only thing I would suggest to the owners to reevaluate is their 20% hidden gratuity. I don't mind spending 20% on gratuity for food. Often times I tip 22 to 25% on most meals. But, an automatic 20% on bottles of wine may make some people freak out at the table. I know very successful people that have more money than I, that would never tip 20% on bottles of wine. They'd scoff at the idea. So they have to be more forthcoming about this automatic 20% gratuity. Or eliminate it outright.

Finally an upscale Indian restaurant! We had a wonderful experience from the first course to the last. I read some of the 1 and 2 star reviews and it's obvious they are comparing it to the many many Indian restaurants that offer buffets and are at a mid to low price point. I'm not knocking those but you cannot go to Sanjh expecting to pay $20 a person. The price points are going to be higher and the experience is completely different. The amount of money they must have spent to create a beautiful, upscale dining experience from wait staff to the world renowned chefs (not to mention the bar), furniture, place settings, down to the finest details is what you are also going for. If you go to a fine restaurant, you should expect to pay 100-150 per person as a general rule. We tasted a good variety of the foods in all sections of the menu and everything tasted so good and was cooked perfectly. The lamb chops, goat curry, salmon, dosa, naan, main course meals, and all three desserts we tasted were delicious. If you are looking for an upscale Indian restaurant with great service and food, visit Sanjh. It is definitely not a place to go if you want to feed the entire family for $100. I find it ridiculous that we can't support an Indian restaurant that wants to compete with all the upscale ones in Dallas. It's time we had an Indian restaurant that can compete with upscale Japanese, Italian, American, Mediterranean, Mexican, etc... I would recommend it and have to my friends and relatives. We had a wonderful time and will go back.

Truly exquisite. Finally a high end Indian restaurant in DFW. Prices are high, but all the 1 star reviews docking this place for the prices should probably never have eaten here - this restaurant is not trying to compete with the normal 3 star Indian restaurants. They are competing with the other upscale restaurants of Dallas. The food is authentic but uniquely present. Service was top notch. Setting on the lake was romantic. Should probably have opened up in Park Cities at this price point however. Some reviews mention the 20% isn't disclosed and additional tip is asked for - neither were true. It clearly states 20% on the menu. Server did not show anything asking for additional tip.

Price .... walking in I knew it was going to be overpriced BUT proceeded anyway. I do NOT go out much anymore and MUST have missed the fact that 20% gets added period. For a party of 3 really !!! OK lets break down the service 1 is it customary to get water for all on the table and NOT just the one person NOT ordering a mixed drink. 2 Is is customary to clear the table of appetizer dishes and plates FIRST before trying to squeeze entree dishes 3 is it customary to completely miss taking a customer's order? The waiter had to go away to ask about question in the middle of taking the order and TOTALLY missed taking 3rd person's order. 4 it was getting late to place order at 910pm so i was actually amazed how fast entree order came out (10min) 5 you tell me 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, 2 drinks and a water ......close to $300 FOOD 1 again going in you know will NOT be "like home". Different palates thus some like hotter , some like milder ....that is normal at any Indian restaurant. But basic flavour should be there AND to be honest .....just NOT there. There is NOTHING unique about the basic flavour of the food we ordered. 2 ordered 2 appetizers and 3 entrees and the same in ALL no basic flavour ....heat was lacking BUT i expect that can be tailored to individual tastes. Ambiance .....tops cannot beat . Conclusion Value offcourse NOT BUT i actually knew that walking in Will they succeed .... yes since DFW massive metroplex and thus enough Corp. and regular customers to " try out " place ONE time. I seriously doubt a high percent of repeat business. But then again at end of year there maybe corporations looking for deductions for "business expenses" and Sanjh can certainly help with providing a MASSIVE business expense tax deduction. Continuing along same lines as long as bill can stay below $10,000 that opens up a new crowd ..... if u get my drift

My first time at Sanjh and I was so looking forward to the food as they advertised as "Creative Indian"! Dallas has long missed having good upscale Indian restaurants unlike Houston and I was excited to try out the food here. Great location and looks classy! Decor looks pretty chic and $7 valet is a great option. I ordered the Dilli 6 which was a good drink option. : The Appetizer - Bharwan Panner Tikka was a bomb! Three big pieces of paneer that was smoky and marinated well stuffed with creamy yumminess. Loved the play of textures. : For main course we tried the Methi Chaman aka Malai Kofta style gravy side and the Khumb Hara Pyaz. The Methi Chaman was nicely done but at $35 the Khumb Hara Pyaz was a disappointment - it was insipid, tasteless, and lacked salt spice or flavor. Not sure why they would serve something so ordinary - nothing remotely creative here at such a hefty price . : Masala Roti at $8 was at best meh. I would come back and try the Dal Makhani as I heard great reviews about it. : A restaurant with Michelin Star prices without the rating. Please please serve great food! Creative or not, people will come! Obviously 18% automatic gratuity is charged.

Excellent cuisine. The style and presentation of cuisine is unique. The server was kind. She was very helpful in choosing the right dishes. The old fashioned is amazing. Thank you Probh for a wonderful evening.
