I am a very local customer at green Gator. I Know Lindsey, Jermaine, Jeremy, cat, Sam and Jasmine. If you want me to stay a local customer you got to bring back KJ and TYE back on Fridays because this past Friday I did not spend a dime because the vibe was not right. I just walked in and then walked out. If this continue this way I will just start going to reservoir full time.

This was mine and my husbands first time eating here. We will definitely return. We had the Red fish meal, alligator bites, and watermelon martinis. The waitress Alayna was an absolute delight. She was so nice and shared some recommendations. My honey loves talking and never meet a stranger and we felt like we’ve known her forever. It was her asking for a hug from me at the end of our visit that made my night. That lets me know we made her feel comfortable. Keep her please! Good food and an even better wait staff is a win win.

Something about the atmosphere felt stressful. Usually don’t get this feeling at restaurants. One girl seemed to be working the tables as the others stood around doing nothing. 25 min just to get my beer. Based on other reviews this seems normal. Management or owner need to tighten up their service. Left before I could even order a main dish

We had the alligator tail fried shrimp and fried calamar, and gumbo. The food was good. The decor & atmosphere is kind of dated but the food makes up for that.

We were looking for a trendy spot to have dinner and saw this place in Las Colinas. As always, I read the reviews prior to making a decision to eat here. They were mixed, which can happen, but what was more shocking were the responses made by the representative of the restaurant. Wow! Personally, it completely turned me off and I didn’t want to patronize the establishment, but my daughter who was with us, really wanted to try it because the restaurant offers live music, so I conceded. When we arrived at the restaurant there was a host at the door. She was not very friendly, only asked how many , but eh, she seated us and that is what we needed. Our initial interaction with our waitress ( I will reveal her name at the end) was horrible! So much so that we almost left. This was our first time here. She did not introduce herself when she came to the table and was just cold and blunt with all of her answers. I wanted to order oysters as an appetizer for the table. The menu stated that they offered two flavors, and you could purchase 6 for $14 or 12 for $24. I asked her if I ordered 12 could I get 6 Blu and 6 Parm (flavor may not be exact) because we wanted to try them both. She told me no I could not do that, she would have to charge me for two orders of six which would cost $4 more than ordering 12. I asked her why not given that the flavors cost the exact same price. She said that she didn’t know and did not offer to check. So I didn’t order the oysters. My husband was not happy with her attitude so he asked me if I wanted to leave. I decided to stick it out. Another waitress, Brittany, brought our drinks to the table so he asked her to send a manager over. I asked him about the oysters and explained what I wanted to do. He said that he would check, went to the kitchen and then returned confirming that I could order the oysters with the two flavors. I thanked him and placed the order. When the oysters arrived, they were small, but the flavor was good on both. The blue had small bacon pieces with blue cheese. They were slightly over cooked, but the flavor was really good.I apologize that I did not take pictures, but at this point I was not a happy patron. My husband ordered the etouffe, my daughter, the salmon with mixed veggies and it came with mashed potatoes, and I had the signature burger. The food was ok for the most part. The smashed potatoes had to be exchanged but they gladly did it. The food here is not spicy, so if you are looking for a kick, you may not get that, but the flavor is good. While we were there the DJ came in and set up, and he kept the place hopping. He took request for songs and really made the atmosphere fun.I waited until the end to say this, as time progressed during our meal, our waitress Gina, improved her service and attitude tremendously. Because of that we decided to order some additional drinks from the happy hour menu after we had closed the tab. By the time the evening was over Gina actually smiled at us several times. I’m not sure what was going on when we first arrived, maybe a long day or it could simply be that her personality type takes a while to warm up to people. However I’m glad that she did, because it made for a much better experience than the 1 star that I was originally going to give after the initial interaction. There are some things that can easily be done to make the customer experience much better:1. The hostess should greet customers with a welcome or Hello something to make them feel like you are glad that they chose your restaurant, because it is a choice.2. They should have name tags or at a minimum, introduce themselves when they arrive at the guests table.3. Lead with a smile. It’s Hot outside, days are long and most times people are just trying to unwind and have a good time. Once Gina started smiling and being friendly with us, she earned a much better tip than the zero dollars that I was initially inclined to leave.Good customer service is the key to success! We spent about $180 or so total with gratuity and would give it a 2nd try.

Went here on date night and it was okay. Food prices were a bit high for the quality of the food. For the appetizer, we ordered the fried pulled pork onion rings and the pork was cold in the middle. We then ordered a burger and fries and a catfish/shrimp platter. Decent food but not worth a second time coming back. The atmosphere was friendly and had a New Orleans vibe to it as well. The service was okay as the waitress did their jobs but I did notice a few on their way phones which doesn’t bother me as long as you do your job and are friendly.

This was seriously the most terrible meal I have ever had. After driving for 9 hours without stopping for breakfast or lunch, I just wanted a decent dinner and to pass out in my hotel with a happy belly. I ordered chicken fried steak because I didn't think anyone could screw that up. Boy, was I wrong!!! The breading was chewy and the steak was dry and tough. The mashed potatoes were kind of glistening and greasy. (How!?!? Why?!?!) The vegetable medley was so overcooked that out just fell apart. The fried green tomatoes were passable. The bread pudding was very overcooked. So basically EVERYTHING was overcooked. Maybe the cooks stepped out for a smoke break and left everything to overcook. Look. Just don't eat here unless you really hate your taste buds. No one deserves this torture. On the upside, Instacart delivered Pepto, a frozen dinner and NyQuil in record time!

Don’t waste your time walking through their door. Myself and my coworker are in town for an event and stopped in here for lunch, since we had an hour and forty five minutes. We spent most of that waiting. Waiting to be acknowledged, waiting for menus, and waiting for drinks; at that point there was no point in ordering food because we knew we’d be waiting for that too.We walked in and sat ourselves, as the sign at the front suggested. We waited 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged and that was just to get our drink order, which came back another 15 minutes later and incorrect. So we waited another 10 and had to flag the waitress down who then brought us menus and never came back to take our order, or for anything else. Even though the waitress kept making eye contact with us, she never came back to our table and continuously walked around us almost as if she was ignoring us.How do you have a bar/restaurant in an entertainment pavilion and have it understaffed/with incompetent staff? This place is a joke.

Evening started well as it was a great place to visit with friends. Food was great and waitress was very attentive. At 7, a DJ started playing music. While the music was good, it was so loud that the waitress couldn't hear us ask to turn the music down. Manager said he would not ask DJ to turn it down. So don't go on weekend evenings. Not a recommendation from me.

Listen, this in no way reflects on our server, as she did a good job. Just an honest review: skip this place if you are looking for good cajun, really any kind of edible seafood other than boiled. We had a party of 10, and only one of us enjoyed our selections. (He ordered the boiled snow crabs in case you're wondering). Fried options lacked flavor and seasoning, "gumbo" was grey and tasted primarily of celery salt (see pic), and a slew of many, many more culinary failures. Coming from Houston, this was an extreme let-down for our first meal together when visting Dallas. Razzoos runs circles around this place at a similar price point. Don't waste your time or money, unless you like the taste of regret.

The food is decent. This is my 1st time ordering take out on grubhub+ as well as ordering from this place. My order was incorrect. I wanted the bang bang shrimp in gator sauce ? and I was given the chicken in sweet chili sauce instead. However, it wasn't what I wanted ? all together it came to $25. I don't feel this was worth $ 25 for the amount of food being given ? would I try this place again? Maybe, but only if I'm dining in

Delicious food, great atmosphere, and the best service. There were plenty of seats inside and there is seats outside too. One of the few restaurants open late in the area and serves food late at night.
