I asked around for the best place to get menudo along with other traditional items in Jacksonville Texas. Hands down #1 recommendation was Salsa Picante. Reminded me of home from the first to the last bite. Mouth watering deliciousness.
Stopped by this place on our way home from River Run! OMG! It surpassed my expectations in every way. Delicious, authentic & fresh Mexican food! I got the enchiladas verdes & my partner got Gorditas. Everything was delicious from the food to the drinks. DEFINITELY recommend!

Very excellent Mexican cuisine! CASH ONLY! We have had the pleasure of enjoying the enchiladas, chilaquiles, quesadilla, menudo, gorditas, and various taco options. There is not a dish I would not recommend. Do not let the quaint appearance deter you. The 20-minute drive from the lake house is so wrth it.
