I hate to say that this place was a huge disappointment. I absolutely love hot pot and have been to several places but this one is the worst hot pot ever experience, mostly due to their cleanliness. As I was eating, a roach literally fell from the ceiling on to my table.. it missed the food but doesn't take away from how it ruins your appetite to see that. There was also a dead fly by the self serve food, almost as if someone killed it and left it there. I went back to the self-serve several times and it was still there. It's clear that the staff doesn't go around, inspecting their food and cleaning the self-serve area. The food, itself, was not the greatest either. They did not have much variety. Not retuning.

I'd hate to do this but Shabu Town today was a 2/5 tonight. During my first order of meat, I happened to find some hair on my plate and I've alerted the staff there to tell them. She looked and said "oh I'm sorry" and that was it. There was really no way in trying to compensate for that.. I did finish eating there still but I will not be coming back.. *Now they automatically add a 15% tip and 18% for 6+ parties... I understand it for bigger parties, but for small tables....really? (Regardless of how bad service might be that day, 15% would be the minimum...) Warning: look at your food/plate before you eat!

Drove all the way out here because we were craving hot pot and wanted to try a new place out. It was a huge restaurant and looked like it used to be a Chinese buffet (maybe it was?) The staff was polite and quick to take our orders. I don't remember exactly what broths my boyfriend and I ordered, but either way... the broths were kind of bland. Hence the only reason I'm rating this place 4 stars out of 5. You can season the broths though with the toppings (green onions, onions, garlic, etc.) and even add in the sauces too to give it more flavor. They also did have a wide assortment of different vegetables and seafood; definitely a bigger selection than our usual go-to place. Their meat selection was also relatively big too and I enjoyed that they serve more meat than what I'm used to. I think 2-3 plates was enough for the both of us; that should say something about how much meat is served on a platter. Overall, we did have a good experience. It wasn't too noisy or crowded for a Friday evening and we had a good fulfilling dinner!

Went on a Saturday had the $29.99 AYCE It was empty. We were only ones there. The ambience was low lit. Plenty sections of seafood, veggies, etc There must be a limit on time, because when we (2) ate there, the server stood by and kept looking at us. We were there for 2 hours. Okay experience but still does the job and fill you up!

Literally the worst hot pot place I ever been, the broth has no flavor. It tasted like water with lime and chili powder. The meat taste old and mushy, there's literally no flavor whatsoever..... disgusting. I literally didn't eat nothing. Took one bite and left. The broth had a weird smell to it. Never again

Came for lunch on a Saturday. Service was good which deserves 4stars. Business was slow when we came. Food was very average which is about 2 stars. The variety was great, Aesthetically appetizing. But when it came down to flavors of the broth - which is the bones of a hot pot, it was disappointing. Ordered 2 different broths. I'm a spicy lover. As well as my guest. My guest got a spicy veggie broth - being vegan - and and I got a spicy bone broth. Spicy does not me oil and water which both were. Very disappointed. I assume they want you to put your ingredients to flavor the Broths. We ended up asking for original broths to dilute and add flavor. The meat selection is nice and for us everything else. But overall, was not impressed and have had other hot pot places around town I would go to instead. Maybe it was an off day? - overall 3 stars. Not sure if I'll be back... At least the food LOOKS good!

I've tried this place twice because my parents like it a lot and I like eating on this side of town. It is clean and a really large space. The broth I normally order is the spicy bone broth. It is spicy but needs lots of seasoning from the sauce bar- garlic, salt, green onions. Otherwise, it is very bland. What I really like is that they have lots of kimchi! I add it to my soup and I eat it with my meat. This is how I get flavor in my soup too! The beef quality is good. It's generally very fatty, but you can ask the waiter for something less fatty and they will recommend something for you. I stick with the ribeye and pork belly. The vegetable, seafood, noodles, dumplings, hot food, and fruit are self serve. It is always tidy and fresh. Dinner prices are 29.99. Why I like it: -The wait staff is very nice and it isn't so busy that I feel rushed to leave. -It doesn't smell like the other stinky pot or little lamb places. - Plenty of room to spread out and sit away from people. - I get my own pot to cook whatever I like and control the temperature. - Free ice cream at the end. Lots of choices.

Terrible service. They "accidentally" wanted to over charge us an adult and then another child. The staff were very unfriendly. This will be our last visit. Don't recommend to anyone

Usually, I saw that restaurant is not supposed to clean or removed food before closing. For Shabu Town, they closed at 10 but we were surprised to see that they started to mop the floor around 9:20, the smells of the cleaning product makes our group very unhappy since we can't taste the food anymore. They also removed all tray of food and it was like 30 mins before closing time. Our server were friendly so I give her some tips but how the owners run their business here is horrible. Would not come back again!

DISHONEST BUSINESS!!! I am very disappointed at this place. I chose to come to this place for my Birthday. Before going, I called to ask them about the lunch special price. They told me lunch special 19.99 from 11am-3pm. I got to the place at 02:45pm. They refused to let us dine in with the reason the kitchen is closed and asked me to come back at 3 for dinner special price. Thus is b******** It is not even 3 pm yet and your kitchen is closed. You just want to charge us more money. This kind of business I won't come back ever again. Dishonesty is a no no with me. I wish your business luck.
