Service is good. The place is clean. Steak was overcooked, hard to cut and chew, under seasoned. Rice and veggies, lack of flavor. Yellow plantains and fries yucca were just ok.

This place is so good. The meat we ordered was cooked to perfection. No fancy flavors, just great quality meat and salt with a hint of smoke. All the sides were fantastic. The grilled pineapple was unbelievable, yet so simple. My only complaint is that I can't get the stroganoff as a side dish. A small cup of it along with the steak would be an incredible meal.

Our first time here, had to try a lot! Everything was fantastic, great value, perfectly cooked medium rare picanha. Just wish I lived closer!

Delicious food and friendly service. The feijoada, stroganoff, cheese bread and flan were super tasty. Will definitely be going back to try out more of the menu

Sometimes you work too much and you need good food to drive you through. I need a steak and chicken but I don't have time for an actual restaurant so this place is what you got. Its fast, it's good and its meaty. I greatly appreciate this place.

The steak and the chicken are tasty, nice and friendly customer service, they make natural freshly made mango, passion fruit juices. And the size of the juice is big and refreshing! I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Service was kind of really bad. It didn’t seem like anyone knew what they were doing, I don’t think that anyone actually wrote down our order, so we had to keep going back and asking for the things that we ordered. They also brought us something we didn’t order. And when I asked whether or not there was meat in the collard greens, I was told no, but when the collard greens got to the table they had meat in them. The food was decent/good, but I don’t think I’ll be going back.

Enjoyed my first visit to Alegria, as it was an unexpected gem to find Brazilian fast casual while stopping by in Katy. Would definitely stop by again! They offer a good assortment of both proteins and vegetable sides, and some of my favorites were the chicken, sweet plantains, and yucca. Feijoada reminded me of Brazil for sure, but the steak and sausage weren't quite what I was hoping for in terms of flavor or quality. The atmosphere is great, and had plenty of Brazilian memorabilia to appreciate. One other down side is that if you want to sit inside, their tables won't accommodate parties larger than 4/5 (completely stationary, built into the ground).

This place seems authentic! The food was great! Large portions! Great flan! Great prices for what it is! Thanks Allegria!

I really enjoyed Alegria. Amanda behind the counter greeted me and knew the menu very well. Don’t tell, but she comped some cheese bread so I could try it.I’ve read some of the other reviews and some struck me as odd. Brazilian food doesn’t have the richness or heavy flavoring of Italian or French. It’s fairly simple, it’s good, and it’s usually expensive. The portions here are large, the food is good, the staff amazing, and you don’t have to pay Brazilian steak house prices.I’ll be back the next time I have a meeting in Katy.

Read a few reviews on the site; and it's APPARENT they were written by friends and family. This place is horrible! Went in around 1:00pm since they close at 3. Anyway upon entry the place smelled nice due to the smoker inside. Wanted some of the Carrot rice, which looked dry, so I asked for a fresh batch only to be told they weren't preparing anymore! So no to that dry rice that's been cooked since 9am since they open at 11am! Steak had good color but no season. Chicken LEG which comes with EVERY order had a green tint (which may have been some type of rub) didn't look appeasing NOR did the flavor!Won't be returning.Doesn't make me want to taste Brazilian food again. Just awful

Staff are welcoming and polite. They asked if it was my first time here, proceeded to explain the menu and how the dishes are prepared. I got the #7 black beans pork and sausage with carrot rice, fried yucca and forofa. Flavor was good, however IMO lacking a little salt. The cheese bread wasn't great. It is very similar to the frozen one you can buy at Costco.

We love Alegria! The staff has always been friendly and remembers us (maybe that's bad, do we eat out too much?).I love stroganoff and it's the only place in town I've found that serves it. My husband will order 6 pieces of Brazilian cheese bread -- for himself.Their chicken drumsticks are also scrumptious.I do wish a salad was a side option. The plates are generous with 3 sides, but the choices can feel limited, especially if you are minimizing carbs.

My family and in-laws came here for lunch, and we were all very impressed with how good the food was. The food was delicious, the portion was a good size, and the prices were also good. I liked the atmosphere, especially the background music. You do not have to be Brazilian to enjoy this place.

It's OK.The feijoada does not have vinaigrette nor orange. So, it's not a complete feijoada. The stroganoff is OK.The cheese bread absolutely terrible. The service is ok. Not very friendly. It has some Brazilian dishes but most definitely not a Brazilian restaurant atmosphere at all, since they were not so nice.
