It reminded me of when my grandmother used to make cheesecake m. “I am in love with this place. The cake is soo soft and spongy and basically melts into your mouth. It is just the right amount of sweet. “this is one of my favorite sweet places in the world. I really enjoy their macaroons and also they have a lot of different sweet options. I have tried some of their cakes before and I’m sure they have drinks as well, but it is kind of expensive, which gets a little frustrating.I would say that I would come here a lot more of the prices were less, but it definitely feels like special occasion kind of treats. And also the people that can afford it probably live near here in Katy so it must be a good location. If you have not tried this place before I definitely recommend you to try it. “I was in Katy for work for a few months, and my only complaint was that I didn’t find this shop sooner. I can be a bit picky when it comes to coffee shops, having worked in a smaller chain of shops through college. Coffee shops that make a proper cappuccino in big cities like these can be hard to come by, so asking for a cappuccino is always a good way to gauge the care put into their craft (also, it’s cheaper and delicious). Lava’s the only shop that didn’t respond with “what size”, and made the perfect cap every time (with some pretty great latte art to boot). I even got the name of a sweet Japanese playlist from one of the guys working there, and even though I’ve moved again I still listen to it whenever I’m studying/working. It’s got the vibes, the best coffee, and should be the go-to for anyone in the area (I know it will be for me when I come back).“

“Today went and picked up 2 mixed bags of muffins. I got 3 chocolate, 2 chocolate chips, 3 banana nut, and 2 oatmeal berry muffins. My first time ever coming here, so once I got home and unpacked most of it I decided to try 1/4 of each. Loved them all, think the oatmeal berry is my favorite! There was someone already being attended to when I walked in, and when another employee noticed that I had walked over to the counter they immediately came over to greet and help me. I didnt wait long, maybe 20 seconds if that. I was fine with waiting anyways since i was browsing the expansive menu. For those that come in in a rush they'll really appreciate the fast service. They had my online order already packed and he took my drink order right away. I only came in to get bread but decided to order a cinnamon flavored latte- they have 2 sizes, 12oz or 16oz and I got the smaller size. The prices were great, I think my drink my drink was $4.50. Loved the flavor and I would go back to try others too. They also have a pretty decent size seating area. Floor to ceiling windows allow in alot of natural time after noon. This place gives off very cozy vibes, atleast to me I love the sound that comes from the baking area. Baking asmr haha. There's no wall separating the cashier area, so you can see the bakers working on different breads.“
“Just returned at 8pm on a Sunday. This time, the gluten-free options were gluten-free coconut silk and gluten-free Michigan Cherry. I had the gluten-free coconut silk, and it was so yummy. My husband had the Wobbly Turtle Chocolate silk, my in-laws had apple pie and Michigan Cherry both warmed up. My 6 and 4 year olds had vanilla ice cream scoops. Overall, it hit the spot and I highly recommend for anyone looking for gluten free pie!“
“Decided to go in with the boyfriend this past Saturday while running errands. We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. Really loved the ambiance here, wasn't too busy, and the place is nice and clean. I got a cappuccino and yuca frita to share with him. For myself I got the arrepa pabellon, which was super delicious. Flavor was great and it was filling. He got a chicken plate that was delicious as well. We plan on going back soon since there was other things on the menu that we really want to try.“

“There are many places to get kolaches in this area of Texas, however, they’re not all Kolache Foctory. I use this location the most, but you will get pretty much the same great taste at every location and at this one the staff are very courteous. If you’re in the area, stop in and try the recent flavor of the month: eggs and Chile (it’s mild spice to me). You can never go wrong with the tried and true bacon, eggs and cheese kolache. This was the first time having the pecan roast coffee and it’s got a great aroma!“

I had never heard of kolaches before, but while visiting friends in Houston, they suggested trying them one morning for breakfast, it was a great choice. The staff were efficient and very friendly, and there is a huge selection of kolache fillings in the restaurant. I think I went with ham and cheese, and sausage and egg. Two were enough for breakfast. As other people have mentioned, they're really handy to eat while on the go - no mess. Great value too. I really want to look up some kolache recipes, as I don't think we have them in Ireland. The coffee was good too.“
