Came to Katy for a convention and wanted to try a local place. We made reservations beforehand for our family. The atmosphere was nice, and our two waiters were very nice and attentive. The problem came when we kept getting refills over and over - and fresh cutlery- instead of food. Talking amongst ourselves kept us busy and we shared a couple appetizers. After 1.5 hours of waiting for our food we asked to speak to management (1 kid had fallen asleep, another one was nearly asleep, and one was getting cranky). That’s a LONG time to wait for your food! The place only had a few more tables they were waiting on; it wasn’t busy. Finally the food came out, and nothing was hot. The kids complained that their Mac-n-cheese was cold (you know it’s cold when your 5 & 6 yr old who like warm noodles are complaining of it being cold). The adult entrees (while the food was good)…was barely warm- not hot. The flavors were nice, but it had been 2 hours by now, and it was just an awful experience. We ate fairly quickly cause we were all tired by now, and then had to wait another 25 minutes for them to prepare the checks. If you’re needing to eat in less than two hours, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Waiters were great…food/food service…not so great.

Nice atmosphere, but that’s where it ended for us. Food was undercooked and cold. Didn’t even finish eating it and left. Overpriced for food quality too. Would have been okay at best if it was cooked properly, which is surprising because the food was slow, even when ordering with first greeting at table with server. Server was nice and pleasant, no complaints for him, but I wouldn’t go back based on this experience. Surprisingly we actually opted to try this place out after walking into the musty smelling Lupe tortilla next door and decided we’d rather not sit and eat there, so we walked next door instead.

We usually go to the federal grill in memorial city and the food is great. We decided to try this location and we're very disappointed. The food seemed old. We got our daughter grilled chicken and rice. The chicken was extremely dry and so was the rice. Everything else was mediocre. It's sad because the atmosphere is great and the servers were nice.

Came for a birthday dinner and the food definitely did disappoint. I had the chicken Fedérale and it was desperately dry. The couscous, which looked like it had been switched out with an unseasoned risotto, lacked seasoning. Very disappointing for this to be my first time here.Shoutout to Raegan for her resilience with handling a 15 tabletop. I think it’s always interesting when a group of black people enter a space, restaurants immediately think to place the black server with them specifically. She did her best, but the lack of support from her teammates definitely stood out to me.So many things to improve on. Ambiance was decent but overall I’m sad about it.Regards.

Made a reservation days in advance for my husbands birthday for a party of 7. I made sure to request in front of a tv so that he could enjoy the final four and the manager changed the tv to the Astros game to accommodate the 2 guests at the bar over our table of 7 that called days in advance for a fucking reservation. NEVER COMING AGAIN.

Not sure why this place doesn't have a higher avg rating! Popped in on a Sunday evening for the 1st time and now I just came back 2 weeks later. I've passed this place tons of times somehow I thought it would be food with minimal flavor. I was wrong! The food is quite tasty! The place has a bistro type vibe... lots of high top tables in addition to regular tables, plus open kitchen & multiple TVs. Also has 2 separate eating areas off the main dining area for groups. Enjoyed the smoked old fashion which they bring to your table in a glass smoker. Here's the food I've tried on my 2 visits: Crab Cake - full of crab, minimal breadiness, nice cripiness on outside, lots of crab meat inside, nice size for $25 price point. 2nd visit got the roasted chicken which was a thigh, leg & breast. The chicken was flavorful even though I didn't get the creamy sauce that comes with it. Also, I was pleasantly surprised the breast was tender not dry at all. First visit food didn't take long. This 2nd time, the chicken took almost 30 min to arrive. The place didn't seem that crowded so not sure what happened. I asked the server was it because of the chicken but he didn't really have an answer as to why so long. I will return. I like the food & the vibe. I also want to figure out which service experience is more typical.

First visit so we tried cocktails, appetizers, and a main course. The selection of bourbons is fantastic. Appetizers and mains were tasty. We were close to kitchen so there was some noise in that direction, but nothing terrible. We were warmly greeted entering and leaving. Service was good, our server and noticing some other servers could be a bit friendlier, but that certainly can be subjective. We will definitely be back.
