The server that gave us our food looked very tired. I'm assuming the guilt they had from serving us the most suggest, tasteless food I've ever been given in my life. The rice was soggy, no seasoning whatsoever. Just tasteless. Then to follow that up, everyone in my family got food poisoning.

I think people misinterpret J&D Caribbean Cuisine thanking it will specialize in Jamaican food. This is a Trinidadian restaurant, there for don't go there with the your high hopes of gett Jamaican style food like Rice & Peas, curry goat, jerk chicken etc. The only there some what Jamaican are the Beef Patties. The Trinidadian food there is wonderful. They have a fish & Chips that tastes phenomenal. Great tasting Roti and the Sunday lunch is on point as well. I recommend anyone to go try them out. And they're nice people too just to mention.Wheelchair accessibility: It is definitely wheelchair accessible.

Thank you J&D for the best bake and saltfish I have ever had! I would have included a pic of the buss up shot but it was already gone! It was on point with the sides of pumpkin and spinach!

Excellent Trinidadian roti and other dishes, including Corn Soup and Pelau. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Give them a try. You won't regret it.

I must say J&D Caribbean Cuisine has my seal of approval when it comes to authentic Trinidadian food. I am always impressed by the many selections, particularly the many types of curries and roti including the local breakfast staples such as doubles, coconut bread, bake, salt fish, pumpkin, spinach and others. I love that they also carry other favorites such as crab and dumpling, Trini Chinese food and even the typical Sunday Lunch! J&D make it easy to indulge in nostalgia with the local snacks and pastries. They carry pohlorie, saheena, aloo pie, currants roll and your many Trini grocery items including drinks like your red solo which is a must. You can even get a fresh bottle of sorrel, mauby and passion fruit juice. The atmosphere takes you back to any of your favorite places in Trinidad and I also love that they host events for the community to partake in. The owners are super friendly and display that hospitality one cannot mistake, in turn every time I visit even the customers are jovial, and in good moods enjoying themselves the food and the music. This place is definitely a vibe. Whenever I can, I find myself at J&D reminiscing enjoying a delicious plate of food.

These DOUBLES must be super amazing! I went twice in one weekend and SOLD OUT! Next time I am camping-out or calling-in my order two days before. It's almost an hour drive one way! And it's more than worth it! Fyi, I would drive 2hours for this delicious comfort food! I would say, ALOO PIE is next best thing if you miss out on the DOUBLES!

Let me start by saying I'm an adopted son of Trinidad and Tobago due to my marriage to my amazing wife. I have had some of the best doubles, aloo pies, curry goat and buss up shot meals ever back at T&T and let me say that J&D is up to something! The doubles are some of the best I've had in the states. The channa in the doubles are whole and not split as I am accustomed to, but it was still amazing. I would recommend slight to more pepper, sweet sauce and cucumbers. The curry goat was also delicious. It is a bit pricey, but each entree is like 2 servings, I can essentially have dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. They also have the traditional drinks like Apple J and Peardrax. We will continue to come back here and tell all of our friends about it.

I mainly come to this place for the soft, delicious roti. I have gotten the chickpea and potato and chicken curry several times. I have to season, add fresh onion, peppers, and garlic every single time. If I do not do that, it is extremely bland. I have had authentic Trini food from my friend’s grandmother. So I am familiar the taste, but the curry isn’t what I am used to. However, the roti is perfect every time! I’d suggested the roti with the curry mango because that’s the most consistent taste.
