I use to love going to eat here but today 1/25/23 the girl behind the food counter was serving miniature portions of meat and when I requested typical toppings like onion and cilantro she said she didn’t have any. Ruined my experience and my tacos who eats dry tacos?

I gotta say, that I love this place. Feels like home. But ever since I bought a variety pack of paletas from la michoacana, things haven't been the same. I feel like a stranger, sometimes even lost. There are blue ones in it so I thought they were blue coconut, but they are bubble gum. WHO TF LIKES THE TASTE OF BASEBALL CARDS....

Favorite authentic Mexican place. On Sundays, at the meat counter, you can order cooked barbacoa meat by the pound, then take it home and make your own tacos, or tostadas. Ask for their salsa--they include a sample when you buy cooked meat by the pound. It sits behind glass on the far left, with all other cooked meats, so you can see exactly what you are buying before ordering. Because it is also a market, you can buy the cilantro, tomatoes, etc. Here as well. They sell fresh-made tortillas, which they keep in a cooler right in front of the cooked meats. The whole place is clean, well-stocked, and organized. Get here early enough, because of their affordable pricing, and high-demand, they do run out if you come late. I will eat here again, and highly recommend this place to others.

I'd give a 0 star if I could. Rude employees and slow services when you get your food. I highly don't recommend.

Really great food and service. I don't speak Spanish. Just a few measly words to get by. The people behind the food counter have always been pretty friendly and nice. The food is always fresh and piping hot. This grocery store is really clean. I love the butcher/meat market section because there is a huge variety of marinated meats and other stuff for purchase. This is the place to go for an awesome breakfast taco. Great quality and the pricing is inexpensive. This blows other eateries out of the water that serve similar food. It is a little intimidating when you come in because you don't hear any English being spoken. I haven't had a negative experience here because I don't speak Spanish. This place is welcoming and worth a visit.

They may have a variety of meat but what's the point of it if the service sucks and the store gives you a weird vibe? I went in to get goat meat and spoke to one of the guys working at the meat section to get me maybe 3 lbs of meat. He was courteous but what he did next was unbelievable. He takes out an entire frozen leg section of goat meat and starts to literally slam it on the floor several times so the two packets that are frozen together, break and he can then weigh the portion of the meat he'd give me. Are you kidding me? Whhaat? I mean I don't know how you're gonna get the frozen pieces off, that's entirely your job, but doing what he did in front of a customer who's going to buy that same battered section of meat is unacceptable. I didn't say anything other than express my shock through my facial expression, but of course..he didn't get it. The meat was expensive. Each pound was about $7 which was way to expensive than some other places selling goat meat. But I bought them anyway as I needed the meat right away. The meat itself was very tender and tasty when I cooked it at home. They also have assorted selections of fresh and marinated meat so you can give this place a shot if you want to. Also, I'm definitely not looking down upon anyone here I swear, in fact I came here to get veggies several times before for it's close to my house. But the customers who were there at that moment along the staff working, seemed so weird and unprofessional. They would stare at me and not move their eyes away even if I were to look at them like "can I help you?" They weren't "friendly looking" at me, I literally got an uncomfortable vibe and wanted to leave right away. As if I wasn't welcome there or maybe singled out? I don't know what to make of it. But I'm never ever stepping my foot here this I know.
