I love visiting places that remind me of my country of origin. I decided to order light snacks like yuca bread, Maduro tortilla, salchipapa and corn tortilla and tropical soda.Things I don't like- very greasy plantain tortillaNote: the girl who helped me told me that this is how they are sold greasy, which is normal… ok…. Really?-corn tortillaNote: poorly thawed, raw-salchipapaNote: Basic regular potatoes and sausages that taste good but very greasy.Things I do like- cassava breadNote: very smooth and good flavor like in Guayaquil (natural)I understand that in my country everything is cooked with oil and is "fried" but I have eaten from a cart to a well-known restaurant and in terms of price and product it has been worth paying what it is worth but not in this Latin Express restaurant.I am sorry that it is a bad experience in such simple things. And what a shame they don't do it at the moment. A Maduro tortilla is so easy to make on the spot. The attention was definitely not ideal and I don't know if the manager was there but they made us look bad.Currently my belly and my mother's belly hurts. This is for you to improve and are constructive complaints. But we definitely won't be back.Thank you

Friend, we did not have any type of problem when paying, we paid in cash for what we consumed, please make that clear! I think your comment is irrelevant when referring to the fact that we made a complaint so as not to cancel. We are Ecuadorians and we recognize a good encebollado to be able to give our point of view, I cannot congratulate you on that soup water called "encebollado". This is so they can improve, they are constructive complaints.

I didn't like an encebollado of crying, but the trip to Dallas for a mixed encebollado and that was pure water and a shrimp and three onions, pure water, and not even the cook. I didn't like the stored water.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Great food. Be there early as food gets sold fast, especially during the weekend.

My husband is Ecuadorian and we have been looking for an Ecuadorian restaurant here in Houston. We found this place online and the food was great! We ordered the encebollado, camarones al ajillo & a Bandera. Great service, great atmosphere, great cooks. I wish people would be more open to this food.

I visited my girlfriend’s family in Ecuador last year and I can confirm that the shrimp ceviche is as authentic as it gets. We also tried the big platter that had multiple meats and plantains on them and I recommend anything with the Ecuadorian chorizo they have here. Really friendly and attentive service, incredibly fresh food. A local place you’ll definitely want to try and support. 100% will be going back!

Came in for lunch mid week. I was greeted as soon as I walked in with a warm welcome. Food is already prepared and sitting in food trays like you find at a buffet. The owner/chef walked me thru the options that were available. I decided to go with the beef stew mainly because he said that was his most popular dish. My two sides were white rice and black beans. Overall I wasn't really impressed. The rice was very basic. It was cooked correctly but nothing was added to it. The beans were bland and wouldn't be surprised if they were from a can. The beef stew was really good and had amazing flavor. The meat was very tender and the potatoes were cooked perfectly as well. The down side was it was cold from sitting in that food tray. Not sure how soon I will be back.

Good Ecuadorian food, the steak have special flavor. Good restaurants ? will visit againDelicious Ecuadorian cuisine, the meat is very flavorful and unique! It feels a bit like Taiwanese Teppanyaki. Good food is worth trying again?

Some of the best service I’ve ever had in my life! Jonathan is super friendly and very sweet. We got a couple things (carne asado, pork, plátano maduro y frito, and yuca frita) and everything tasted delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is craving Latin food!

Delicious Ecuadorian food. I ordered the lunch special. It's served with traditional chicken soup. Great price and authentic flavor. Staff is friendly and made me feel like I was back in Ecuador. This place is definitely getting added to my rotation of restaurants to visit frequently.

A small and clean restaurant with cozy vibe. They sell family-style food which was heart-warming.I had the lunch menu - beef stew, sweet plantains, tostones, and black beans. The portion was just right for one person. The beef stew was delicious. The meat portion was generous, and the meat was tender. The sweet plantains and tostones were fried fresh and served hot. Tostones were salted which made a good contrast on my plate. Black beans were soft and yummy. I would hope to have less black bean sauce on my plate because it caused my tostones to turn soft. I also had the mofongo as appetizer. The fried plantain was dense thus it filled up the stomach fast. It would be good to share this appetizer. There were small pieces of deep fried crispy pork in the mofongo, and the sauce went well with the dish.I would come back here again if I am in the area.
