The service was great, and the food was not bad. However, that's where the positive ends. Enjoyed the tea and the waffle I ordered. My wife's pastry didn't like what she ordered. The tea was nice.I was very disappointed they didn't have the set because they were out of pastries and the wait was long. They brought out my daughter's dessert as we were almost going to leave and it was a bit burned. They were apologetic and gave a discount which certainly did help, but it was a pretty poor experience. They should change the music. It's to lively/pop for the theme of the location. The server was very nice and polite.

Proper Rose Garden offers a comprehensive culinary experience with their $60 Rose Garden Set, which delivers on taste and presentation. From the moment you step in, the accommodating staff ensures a swift seating process, setting the stage for what promises to be a memorable dining experience. The Rose Set itself is a delightful combination of flavors, featuring a customizable tea selection, a delectable club sandwich, and the refreshing lemon berry mascarpone cake. Also, with an assortment of desserts, including cookies, macaroons, and pastries, not only tantalize the taste buds but also serve as picturesque delights for your social media feed.FYI, The major food items à la cart in the Rose Set would come out to about $30.In addition to the Rose Set we also ordered the Parmesan Truffle fries and they were flavorful, they unfortunately fell short in texture, arriving soggy rather than crisp. However, the veggie dumplings provided a satisfying crunch and burst of flavor. The spicy edamame, though initially lacking salt, was promptly rectified by the attentive staff, although the absence of readily available table salt or packets was puzzling. The service remains commendable throughout, with the waiter checking in periodically to ensure your satisfaction. However, the ambiance of the restaurant leaves something to be desired, with outdated holiday decor clashing rather than complementing the overall atmosphere. The mix of Christmas and Valentine's Day decorations on opposing walls seems disjointed.Furthermore, while the chairs are comfortable, the majority being cloth, unfortunately, they bear visible stains, detracting from the overall cleanliness of the dining area. Despite these minor drawbacks, Proper Rose Garden ultimately delivers on taste, presentation, and service, making it a noteworthy destination for those seeking a memorable dining experience.

We first came for lunch on a Friday afternoon and were able to be seated right away. Several large parties of ladies lunching and gabbing. This was for my birthday lunch, so we did the tower set with jasmine-green tea (which was phenomenal), cucumber sandwiches, and the lemon berry mascarpone cake. Everything was so yummy - my husband had never had tea sandwiches and he LOVED the cucumber-cream cheese so much he still talks about it! We also got a shibuya honey toast for the table since it sounded so unique and we took most of the tier 2 & 3 pastries home in a box from the tower set. Glad we did, because that honey toast was ridiculous - it has a texture almost like crispy angel food cake? Very unique and delicious. We tried to go back on a Saturday right after they opened and it was a very long waitlist so it didn't happen. Weekday visits for the win!

I came to proper rose to see what the hype was all about. The appetizers were great like the popcorn chicken, dumplings the smoked salmon sandwich and the drinks were refreshing and the smell was aromatic. The service was excellent as well. I definitely would come back again and recommend this place to others.

I recently dined at Proper Rose Garden for Sunday brunch with my son, and unfortunately, it was a major letdown. Despite being promptly seated, our table was cramped, positioned uncomfortably close to both the bathroom and the bustling kitchen walkway. The food left much to be undesired; my son fish and chips were cold and tough, while my dish of sticky fish sauce wings dish took an eternity to arrive. The lack of space made the whole experience claustrophobic, with constant traffic disrupting any hope of enjoying our Sunday meal. After an hour of enduring the chaos, I had to insist we leave. To add insult to injury, the waiter's dismissive attitude and lack of transparency with the bill left a sour taste in my mouth. Despite his rudeness, I still tipped generously, though it was hardly deserved. Suffice it to say, I won't be returning to Proper Rose. Very disappointed.

Beautiful place to meet with girlfriends for light bites and teas. Definately make reservations for a weekend or an important celebration. Our waiter gave excellent options of items to try. EveTy thing tasted great. We order the 3 plate tower. I would suggest swapping out for 2 sandwiches then one plate of desserts with the cake slice. We ordered rose milk hot tea, amazing flavor. Egg salad sandwich, great flavor. The lemon blueberry cake was to die for delicious. I will definitely recommend and go back.

Definitely overpriced but I enjoy the ambiance and having this type of establishment nearby our home. Vibrant atmosphere with fair service. Food and tea was alright but it's definitely a nice change of pace.

It was my first time here, and the server was helpful with guiding us with the menu. We got the $60 tower that comes with a sandwich (cut into 4), pastries, a tea pot (choice of tea), and a slice of cake (choice of cake). We got the salmon cream cheese sandwich (super delicious!), the rose garden tea (it was ok), and the lemon berry cake (a little too tart for me). They kept up with checking on our table and asking if everything was still ok. But, the water glasses were empty a lot, and had to keep asking for more water. (They might want to consider water carafes for the tables). The decor is super cute! The whole "tea time" experience is pretty well-thought of on their menu too. They have a valentines theme right now, and have hearts on the walls. I like the flowers on the chandeliers.

Food is delicious and made to order. Overall A+ The service is prompt and the booking is mandatory. Staff were not super friendly and a bit uptide. So B- for staff. Ambiance is great and the demonstration of the food and teas provide a great experience.

Very rude in the front, was told wait would be 15 min but could be faster, after 30 minutes of watching others get sat I asked why four tables of people walking in have been sat before us and was responded with “what tables” no resolution and no true update of how much longer it would be. Left after 30 min without being sat, with empty tables in this very little arrogant strip-center novelty store front. Will never come here or recommend.

This spot is such a great deal to escape into a whimsical afternoon out with friends. The tea selection is excellent as well as the food that is available to go with it. I got the lavender milk tea and it wasn't too sweet and paired lovely with the cookies and scones that came on our afternoon tea tower. It's such a great deal to order because it includes: a tea pot, sandwich, and slice of cake. Perfect to share between 2-3 people. Also tried the spicy popcorn chicken and it is delightfully crispy with a kick! Prices are reasonable and service is on point. The staff are so quick to come and check on you for additional snacks or teas. I tipped my tea glass over by accident and I had 2 staff members rush over with napkins to save the day! So polite and wonderful. Can't wait to go back!
