So while the store front is closed, you can still enjoy the amazing food!!! I tried the Rock & Roll and The Firecracker. First let's talk about how f****** amazing Chef Chris is!! Awesome personality, very informative and just a fun guy!! I'm not vegan; but I do dabble in the culture every now and then. I told him I'm a part time-tarian, because I can't give up sea-roaches lol and was scared of the fake shrimp so he was kind enough to let me try one...anywho!! Let's talk about the food!! It was pure perfection!! As a sushi lover, I wouldn't be able tell this was vegan if I hadn't been told it was vegan!! The only negative thing I have to say is that I didn't get any wasabi or ginger I don't know if they have it or not (I should've ask; but was in a rush) but thank goodness it was flavorful enough to not need it! Check out their IG page for updates!!

3/11/2021: VEGAN SUSHI SPOT BOUGHT OUT BY REGULAR SEAFOOD SUSHI SPOT. I drove from Freeport just to learn they changed ownership the week prior.

My new favorite place in the world!! I'm so sad I don't live in this area or I'd be here every day for some fresh, tasty, vegan sushi. Maybe its a good thing I don't live close by, hahaha! The rolls were made to order & didn't disappoint. I got the Bang Bang Shrimp roll, which was my absolute favorite and the Spice Veggie Dragon! I was here for the weekend and went both days to get these delicious rolls. If you're in the area swing by Kroger for your delicious rolls.

Beautiful, delicious vegan sushi rolls. I will definitely be coming back.

Did not eat here since there are high levels of cross contamination. If you dont care go ahead the food looks really good, but Id rather not eat stuff fried in chicken oil.

Well, they'll need a new listing soon for ATX but hey Austinites, don't sleep on this. The Vegan Sushi Spot has been doing sold-out pop-ups in East Austin and there's a reason for it - their rolls are so amazing that people who aren't vegan are raving about it!

Best vegan sushi! Thank you for bringing your food to Austin. We're hoping it will one day be permanent here.

Well yall...I have found my new favorite sushi spot. Hands down this is some good sushi! I love that they cater to the vegan community and that they don't skimp on quality and freshness. I have heard about this place in the past and am upset that I'm just now trying it. The only downfall is that they close at 5 pm. Other than that, this is totally worth the drive from wherever you are. 5/5 Would Recommend!

Chris and his staff are so friendly and generous. My second experience with The Vegan Sushi Spot was for my New Year's Eve sushi feast! The "Spicy Potatoes" is gorgeous. There's an impressively thin sliced layer of avocado carefully draped over the length of the roll. I can't say that I've ever had sweet potato in a sushi roll and it was quite satisfying. The "Nicko" is not to be missed. The vegan shrimp and the asparagus provide a surprisingly satisfying texture and mouth-feel. Here's the problem: what's the first thing that you do when your sushi arrives? Like me, I'm guessing that you probably tear open the packet of soy sauce and start creating your preferred blend of soy and wasabi. That's what I did in preparation for my first Vegan Sushi Spot experience. It wasn't until this week when I realized that their rolls are bursting with so much flavor that your typical sushi rituals are completely unnecessary. I can't remember a time when I ate sushi rolls without soy and wasabi but with these -- I'm telling you -- the rolls themselves stand alone. The torturous part is that The Vegan Sushi Spot is a two-hour drive from Austin. I'll just have to be patient and wait for the next pop-up opportunity!

Wonderful vegan sushi in a connvient location with friendly service. We picked up several rolls and everything tasted outstanding and looked beautiful. I really enjoyed the vegan shrimp rolls. I wish we lived in Texas and weren't just passing through because we would definitely make this place a regular stop for us.

Great sushi! Sad to see it leave this place next year, but I hope the owner finds a new one soon!
