“Coffee is so tasty. Nellie at the counter always greets me and is smiling. I've noticed she does that to everyone. Prices are fantastic as an extra. The baked good are very fresh.A very friendly place where you can hold a small meeting to a study group for the college students.Dietary restrictions: Nellie has a variety of milks and skinny syrups that are sugar free. She also makes a mean egg and vegan sausage sandwich. She allows me to bring in a low carb tortilla.Parking: Park right out front..Kid-friendliness: There are some toys there for children to play with. And for those adults that are still kids at heart there is always a puzzle on the table.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a handicapped spot and ramp right in front. Door is very wide and there is plenty of room between tables to move.“

“This restaurant is exactly as described, it was just like a country Cafe. The food was awesome and the portions were very generous. The staff was very friendly and actually made me feel like they cared about the customers, they were always checking on me to make sure everything was okay. “We are visiting family in Cleburne and checked this place out for breakfast. First time here. You seat yourself wherever you want. We were acknowledged as soon as we walked in and tended to right away. Our waitress was kind and made sure to get our food order correct to avoid any delay. The other servers kept up with coffee refills and were kind as well. I tried the migas and they were good. My husband and daughter had the French Toast platter and that was really good as well. Overall, great experience and food. We will visit again for sure.“

“We stop at The Daily Special Cafe every time we come to Alvarado—which is often. Prices are reasonable. The Daily Special is popular with locals. It’s the food. Check out our photos to see what I mean. We always order breakfast (served all day). Based on how delicious their breakfast is, I feel confident the rest of the menu is prepared just as well. The decorations are from the “down home” design school. Lots of license plates, metal chickens, and coffee mugs. The Daily Special is in a strip center next door to Brookshire Brothers supermarket. Alvarado is conveniently located at the intersection of Interstate 35W and Hwy 67 about halfway between Fort Worth and Waco. Worth your time and money.“
