Underwhelmed by the DJ experience compared to the neighboring Voodoo Hut, Kemah Boardwalk's shot bar serves as a decent starting point for pre-club drinks, but falls short of leaving a lasting impression

Bouncer didn’t let my friend in because her id “looked fake” even though the other bouncer said it was real. so we asked to scan it because her id it IS real, and we’ve been there before with no problem. And so the owner comes out and tells us to leave without looking at it or scanning it. Then they both proceed to kick us out and tells the other bouncers to do the same. When we’re just trying to enjoy our last day of spring break after working all week. We were just having a night out and it got ruined by a dumb bouncer.

It's the quietest place, even on a Saturday night, which is truly a weekend. Coming during the nighttime, there's not a single person in the place, but the service from the staff is good. They have almost every type of liquor, filling up the shelves completely. So, if you're looking for a place to sit and drink or to compete in drinking with someone, this place would be suitable for heavy drinkers or those who never seem to get drunk no matter how much they drink.

The deck was a cool place. Their games are free to play. They hey have darts, corn hole, giant jinga, fire pit, and drinks were not expensive. Definitely check them out.Kid-friendliness: You can bring kids, keep in mind there are open fire pits.

I wouldn't advise visiting this place. For a drink, I roughly waited for ten minutes. Although I completely appreciate how busy the bar gets, there were a lot of patrons waiting for drinks as the bartenders danced in the back. But the proprietor shows no regard for paying clients. The owner shoved me out of the way so his girlfriends could use the restroom when there was a wait, and then he continued to tell me that since he is the owner, he is free to do anything he pleases. Sincerely, I wouldn't have let him to cut me off, but the manner in which he did so was rude and inappropriate.

We were standing out front and a guy says rudely “you can’t wear slides in here” Excuse me!? It’s a bar not a construction zone.

This is the nasty bar I ever been in it smells so nasty inside and the bartenders do not know how to make a drink, also I saw bugs in the alcohol bottle, which is disgusting will not be going back

Small, lots of younger people and cheap alcohol.

I came here for my 21st hoping to have a good time with my family and a fight broke out and ruined the night. This is definitely not the laid back crowd that you want to have fun around with, so take my word for what it’s worth if you want.

Nice bar with unique decorations. The karaoke stage was fun, pool table, outside area has nice view.

Wasn't impressed. Dj there was not as good as the Voodoo hut across the street. For just a shot bar it's ok. Just a place to maybe start drinking before actually finding a club or bar.

Busy, vibrant, younger crowd with high energy combined with a selection of liquor that will suprise you and great bar staff. Went on a Saturday to support a fund raiser they were throwing, the owner and bar manager are awesome people.
