My wife and I dined here on a Thursday evening, and were sat somewhat awkwardly across from a group of three women dining together. We were the only people in the restaurant. The experience was --- interesting. As is common with tasting menu restaurants, there was a story to go with each dish presented. Also as common with this sort of thing, some dishes were better than others, and many were just okay. At $150 per person, it was on the expensive side, and I question whether it was worth that. Perhaps $100 would have been appropriate. A wine/cocktail option was offered for something like an additional $125, but everyone declined. We were filled to excess by the food, and found it difficult to imagine having space for drinks on top of that. An interesting experience, but we are unlikely to return at this price point. I think that I have decided that tasting menus just aren't my cup of tea, and I really prefer to go to a place where I can select exactly what I want.

A special experience curated by two excellent chefs. This is for the adventurous eaters that will try new things and appreciate the origins and history. I certainly didn't love every dish, but there were many memorable and delicious ones out of the 15 courses. The drink pairings were often unique and enjoyable. I loved the decor and ambiance provided by the table lightning and unique touches such as hand woven baskets for serving food.

We had no idea what to expect before we came to TH PRSRV, and everything was absolutely amazing. Perfect intertwined between Choctaw tribal and Thai history, cultures, spices and food. The atmosphere was so dreamy, intimate and beautiful. The food was fantastic. The staff was the friendliest. Perfection

Let's be very clear: THIS IS A NATIVE AMERICAN and THAI NATIVE CUISINE!!! It's not a fusion but it is a collaboration of two talented Chefs in their own right and the experience is just simply MAGICAL!! We have the mad genius, Chef David Skinner from Eculent and the ambitious Chef Jabthong "G" Benchawan Painter from Street to Kitchen. Both chefs forging a path from their native ancestry--passed down from generation to generation to bring forth today of exquisite dishes. You are invited to a place where the fireflies fly but to the most trained eye we believe in fairytales. The atmosphere was just simply enchanting and this is an honest and true story--as I hugged Chef Skinner to thank him for such an incredible experience the pearls around my neck broke...I guess you can say I was just so ecstatic that they just popped off my chest! Lollll!! I almost don't want to share photos of the special room because you should be surprised as it's part of the enchanting experience. The magic of the trees, the lights, even the turf carpet! So many tiny little details in the decor just makes this place charming and whimsical. The photo's honestly doesn't do it justice. I'll be happy to share photos of some of the food presented for our dinner and forgive me if I don't remember most of the names. But I promise you the flavors, the texture and the presentation will tantalize your tastebuds and it will leave you wondering if it was all a dream!! MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS TODAY!! Take your lady, bring your man...don't wait for any special occasion!! Allow the event itself be that special occasion for you. You will fall in love with both chefs on how they're willing to share their stories and their love of food. bon appétit

This was an amazingly unique dining experience. There is no other place like it in Houston. Chef Skinner presents a dining experience with a story

This is a dining experience that is hard to describe in words - and even harder to believe. My mouth and nose were experiencing things they had never before felt, smelled, or tasted! Could not recommend more! 11 out of 10! Not just A+ but S+ ! Not to mention, the service was absolutely impeccable. The main server was extremely friendly and kind. One thing that showed how much they cared about the guests is that they offered non-alcoholic wine pairings. We found our new favorite non-alcoholic wine in Fre!

This was our second visit to Eculent. While theee were some items that were the same as the menu last year, we were delighted to taste new dishes. We brought our best friends and we all had an amazing time, laughing, sampling treats that we might never had tasted if it were not for Chef Skinner’s vision and discovering new ways to enjoy long time staples. All in all, I highly recommend this experience to anyone that considers themselves open to trying anything at least once. Not only was the food amazing but the service is always top notch! We can’t wait to go back!

Incredible experience and worth every penny. Only criticism is the meal starts out so incredible that the later courses feel like they are falling flat. In reality every course is amazing. The experience would almost be more satisfying if it were served in reverse

Family went to enjoy our daughter turning 25 - wonderful art show, presentation on pottery made specifically to each serving, food from around the world presented in unique wonderful fashion under lighting with music - all wrapped in a memory evening for our family to have forever We will return - we thought one of the best meals ever and we travel extensively.

After hearing friends rave about eceulent for years, we finally had the chance to experience it ourselves. It was just the most fun dining adventure ever! If you are looking for the personal touch, it doesn't get more personal than having the chef himself introduce each of the 20+ courses. Each course was beautifully presented from the execution of the ingredients to the serving plate. Each course was a taste and visual treat. They were all so good that I couldn't even pick a favorite. We did the wine pairing and it was perfect.
