Food quality is pretty good but the service wasn't the best last time I went. I believe in equal opportunity but they're just a bunch of kids working there. Don't sit at the bar if you're a single woman because you'll be ignored while the bartender serves every other drunk guy first.

My fiancé and I love going to eat here, especially on a nice sunny day. Their patio is so light and cheerful with the yellow tarp, the view of the marina and Kemah. Their service has been exceptional especially during busier days, which can be demanding of the crew.They’re quick to tend you and fix any, if ever, mistakes made.

This is my second review of this place. I miss the funky vibe of the original Tookie's down the street. This new version is more spacious with a bigger patio (and better view), but at least they didn't change the menu! I eat here every time I'm in town (even if I'm only in Houston for a couple of days) and have been since the 80s. I actually crave Tookie's bean burger which sounds godawful since it's layered with refried beans, Fritos and picante sauce, but it is soooo satisfying. Pair it with some of their incredible onion rings to share with the table. And you have to start with bombshell which is literally just a fried corn tortilla topped with melted cheddar cheese and jalapeños. It sounds simple enough but we have never been able to duplicate it at home. One warning: be wary of the Bloody Mary. The ones we got were just too spicy to drink even after we watered them down. If you like hot, go for it. If not, specify mild. Either way get to Tookie's whenever you can!
The #99 burger has a wonderful flavor. The pelican eggs, Tookie's version of the jalapeño popper, are amazing!!

Food was not like it use to be. Burgers were too well done & buns were too hard. Fries were ok. Service was excellent. My waitress Jenny was terrific. She made the experience a whole lot better. I would go back just nit anytime soon.Parking: So glad they moved locations because the parking area is way much spacious. Thank you Tookies.
