This establishment came highly recommended and I was so excited to try it. We started off our meal with chips and queso and the chips were so old and stale, our queso was room temperature and had thickened, and our salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce. I ordered carne guisada for my main dish and was so sad that I was nothing like any I have ever had.

Los Altos de Jalisco heading towards Ingram is 1000% better than this place. This is the second time coming here cause I wanted to give it another chance..... bad decision.Chips were stale, and food was not very warm and didn't have much flavor.

I guess they have new cooking staff? The shrimp cocktail used to be good! It's not anymore. We ordered two shrimp cocktail dishes with avocado, pico de Gallo and the works! Two orders that cost almost $35.00 (taxes). It was just down right terrible! The sauce was super duper sweet having too much sugar! Sugar?!!! Got home and I had to dump all the sauce out and pour my own tomato sauce and spices in it and a lot of real lemon juice squeezed in it! The saltine crackers were also a nope! We trashed those and ate real saltine crackers. The shrimp was super rubbery and I also had to add more avocado in it. What in tarnation?!!! ?

Food was served cold and carne asada was over cooked an when I informed them all they did was just heat up the plate because my lemon and cilantro came back hot. Smh not coming back. Also over heard another table complaining about their food. At then at the end I brought it up to their attention when we were paying since she asked if everything was okay... and all she said was "oh I'm sorry"

Food was hot and fresh. It had a great vibe and was pretty packed. Everyone serve we came in contact was friendly and attentive even tho they were really busy! First time I've been here but will be returning. One of the few places in Kerrville to get cielo, mar y tierra... so good!

Well let me preface this review by saying I lived in Corpus Christi for 8 years and got very spoiled by all the mom and pop shops there. To start it took a lot longer for a mostly empty restaurant to come to the table to get the drink order and drop off the chips and salsa. Second and this basically killed the whole experience for me! The chips was stale and the salsa tastes like it came from the chip isle at Walmart. Once we finally got our order in, it didn't take too long to get it. I had the cheese steak burrito. The asada was a bit overcooked with a good amount of crunch. But overall not bad. The red sauce was very runny but not bad either. This restaurant seems to be what happens when a white person from Iowa would do. While it's not horrible by any means there are too many other restaurants with soooooo much better food for the same price.

Our favorite restaurant for Mexican Food in Kerrville. Service is friendly and attentive. A great place for breakfast or lunch. The pozole is exquisite on the weekends and so is the barbacoa. The cheese enchiladas are the best in the area.Parking: Always plenty of parking.

Queen of Madness

12.99 for a shrimp cocktail that had what tastes like V8 juice with pico, lime, and avocado....not worth it!!!!!!

Their food is pretty good, I keep coming back for more. It's menu is cheaper than other Mexican food restaurants in the area.

First off, it took forever to get our meal. It was not that busy that it should have taken so long.I ordered the fish, whole, and it was fried so hard, it was completely inedible. When I complained, our server apologized but did not offer to make it good. You would think they would at least not charge me for it but they did. To say the least, I will not be returning.

Food was fine, service wasn’t. We’ve eaten here often, but today was the first time for a waitress that didn’t seem to care. Maybe just an off day.

SEA MONKEY

Wonderful menudo and tortilla soup. The staff is courteous and on point.
