Three words -crispy hash browns!!!I enjoyed my breakfast here. The Hill Country omelette was perfection, almost like a crepe stuffed with veggie goodness. The coffee was quick to arrive and refilled/touched up often. I like strong coffee so i found it on the weak side. But the service was efficient cheerful friendly. Great supporting a mom and pop local place. The grits were an added side as i wanted to try them. Alas they were cold and lumpy, kinda like paste. The biscuits were soft, a tad underbaked, but then again I like a crisper top crusted biscuit. However, that omelette and the hash browns were worth the visit. Open at 6 am...really made the rainy day start off warm and happy.

The cafe was in the process of closing for the day when I walked in. Most of the tables had chairs stacked on top of them. I had been advised by another business that this was where the first ever H.E.B had been located. If true, the business is not capitalizing on its location's history.

Very good food friendly folks, I wish I caught a chance to eat some cobbler today. Oh well, hopefully tomorrow. Definitely the best chicken fried steak that I had yet. Saving room for boththe chicken fried steak and peach cobbler.

We decided we were going to eat local while in town. We popped into this place for breakfast. We were immediately welcomed. You could tell this place was the place where all the locals went as you saw a bunch of regulars shuffle in. I did not want to over do it, so I ordered one blueberry pancake and some sausage. The blueberries were large and bursting with flavor. They did have sugar free syrup as I do not like to eat that much sugar for breakfast. The sausage was small patties, but had a good flavor. I really enjoyed this little spot. The food and service were top notch.

Great real hill country feel! None of that big city attitudes! Service was quick & precise! The food was amazing! Special mentions to the hash browns that are crispy! Not hasBurnt, or hashRaw!I had an off the menu, meats omelette, upgraded to bowl grits, 2 biscuits add gravy!Cost was cheaper than the same thing at Denny's!Parking was a little odd because the back is per business.
