Fantastic service and excellent food. I had the chicken Parm and it was one of the best in the area. We have a lot of Italian restaurants, but this one is the best so far. I need to go back soon and try the rest of the menu. It's that good.

White wine was not cooled which was a big turnoff. Waiter did not serve the wine either. Set the bucket on the table and left. Food is fabulous. Very tasty. Had the flounder special. Wonderful flavor but very small filet. Police department. Lazanza was great.

So far we have eaten here twice. My bride has had the same thing, Parmesan crusted flounder, which she has fallen in love with. I have tried 2 different dishes and both have been very good. The service both times was good, not great, but not terrible either. It does seem a bit crowded and can be noisy but again, not a deal breaker. We look forward to our next visit and if you haven't stopped by, I would definitely recommend

Il Posto Italian Restaurant at Kerrville's former Pampell's is a MUST try if you're ever exploring the Texas hill country. It's still as beautiful architecturally as I remember in my 20s. I had the daily special of salmon with a lemon caper sauce and cauliflower rice, Tuscan soup, and garlic basil olive oil for dipping. Their staple house bread is delicious. I would have preferred grilled broccolini than the cauliflower rice, but that's just a preference. My college besties had the chicken piccata and supreme pizza. Both of which I got to try, and both are also very good. For great parking, go close to opening. Early is better, I'm told. The evenings find this historical place packed again. Something about that, and seeing they kept the tiled entry with Pampell's name made me happy. In the 1880s, it was a hotel. Then, Pampell turned it into an ice cream parlor and confectionery. I recall the house milkshakes and soda fountain. This was one of our favorite places during our time at Schreiner. I, for one, look forward to going back to explore the menu. I'm told the Tuscan steak and pesto chicken are worth trying.

The food was so good! My husband says the eggplant Parmesan is the best he’s ever had as they use thick cuts of eggplant. We also had the chicken fettuccine and chicken risotto and were excellent as well. While you’re waiting for your food, they serve these wonderful rolls with an outstanding oil mixture…full of garlic, Parmesan and basil, to name a few

I’m never disappointed by local Kerrville restaurants. Loved this cozy Italian restaurant. Their Italian Dipping Oil had a kick, and the Bruchetta is fresh and tasty. It’s definitely a spot you’d want to come back to try different menu items. My only small critique was that they might use a bit too much chocolate syrup on their tiramisu, which distracted from the coffee flavor- if you have a sweet tooth go for the mousse cake instead!

Kerrville has had a limited amount of Italian places for a long time. One was decidedly better than the other but just good enough to be acceptable, authentic, good, but not excellent. I'm glad to say that changes with Il Posto, while not perfectly traditional Italian Cuisine it hits the spot, especially for the mix of American-Italian and Italian. The food was delicious with quality ingredients that you could taste and fair sized portions. I've found my family's new spot for Italian in town. The only thing they could use-although cheesy-is some Italian music for ambience. 5/5 Definitely worth your time and money.

I'm super impressed with this Italian restaurant in Kerrville. IL Posto has cleaned up this space and put in comfortable, classy seating. The food was delicious! While I could not enjoy the rolls my family scarfed up (I'm celiac), I poured the garlic oil that comes with the bread, onto my gluten free paesano pasta. Everything was excellent!

We have been at least five times and the food has always been wonderful. The reason for not giving five stars is due to them not being able to figure out how to run the bar, more efficiently and get drinks out quickly. By quickly,I mean before the food comes..
