The wedding cakes I ordered were gorgeous and delicious. We kept things simple and elegant for our garden wedding. The main cake had three tiers with different flavors and succulents for decorations, and the groom's cake was a tree stump in keeping with our nature theme. The guests were surprised to learn the cakes were gluten-free because they said they tasted so amazing. The staff was great to work with and delivered our cakes the morning of the wedding. Not getting married? Then get a birthday cake from them. They taste amazing!

My husband and I loved this place! Beautiful scenery, excellent service and delicious food. They have a cute gift shop and garden area as well. Had to buy some baked goods and cookies to go! If you want to experience the Texas Hill Country at its finest - check this place out!!!

Food quality and service were amazing! Food was so delicious, the smell from the bakery was beyond heavenly!! Our waitress anticipated every need. She delivered food with everything we would need, ie salt, pepper, ketchup. We didn’t have to ask for something and then wait for it she had it. The food was fresh and scratch made and delicious!

Not sure how this place has a five star rating. Maybe the atmosphere and the beautiful gardens but, certainly not for the dining. Service was terrible. Waited an hour after ordering for the food to arrive. Drinks were not filled. Two of our party ordered the pecan crusted flounder with creamy lemon sauce. Entire dish was cold, baked potato was undercooked, and there was no cream sauce on the tasteless flounder.Asked waitress for sauce and she said they didn't have any. WHAT!??? After the check was paid a bowl of cream sauce was delivered. Tasted like microwaved water with chopped garlic. Unbelievably terrible food!

After a exploring Kerrville for the first time, my friend and I decided to find a place for coffee and cake. A quick search led us to Wild Flour Bakery within The Ridge Marketplace. All of the cakes, cupcakes, chocolates and ice cream were made in the shop and you could watch as they did it. Everything looked absolutely delicious within the display case! They also supply the desserts for the Cafe at the Ridge which is next door. You can actually order your desserts and such at either place. We ordered our coffee (just plain coffee) at the Cafe and then grabbed a slice of carrot cake with two scoops of ice cream from the bakery. Everything was delicious, the woman behind the counter was very sweet and I loved being able to watch them whip up all the tasty treats! The seating area was kept very clean and it had a nice view of the surrounding marketplace. I would definitely go back and try more items!

This was our first visit to The Ridge, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved looking around the grounds and seeing all the beautiful plants with many butterflies. Nice little gift shop also. The grounds are well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. We did not purchase any items from the bakery, but all the goodies looked delicious, especially the cinnamon rolls. We opted for an appetizer of fried mushrooms. They were FANTASTIC. It was quite enjoyable sitting outside enjoying the appetizer with a glass of tea. Great way to spend some time while in Kerrville.

The food was great; however, they were apparently short-handed in the wait staff. We did arrive about noon so expected them to be busy. Our server did his best, but he was covering quite a few tables and it took a while to get tea refills and our check taken care of. No big issue and we will be back!.

Have had several dining experiences here and most are ok. This establishment has a hard time keeping adequate staff in the restaurant As a result, wait times for food can be long especially on Sunday mornings and my experience with the manager on my last visit was very unsatisfactory. She was unprofessional and lacked any kind of empathy toward me as a customer. I understand that this kind of work is very difficult however most restraints in Kerrville do a better job. The grounds are beautiful but if this business is not careful, the restaurant will hurt the rest of the business. Not planning to return for Sunday breakfast until personal issues are resolved.

Waited over a half hour for omelettes. Waitress wasn’t friendly. Asked for unsweet iced tea with lots of ice or a cup of ice and was brought tea with very little ice in it. Had to ask again for a cup of ice. Asked when ordering if they had Swiss cheese, she said what else do you want I said ham. Told her I wanted grape jelly, don’t like other flavors. When we were finally served, I had American or cheddar cheese in my omelette instead of Swiss, and she sat down strawberry jelly. When I asked about grape again she said “we don’t have grape jelly”. My husband ordered sausage gravy to go with his biscuit. When it came out they had taken chunks sausage put it in a bowl and put a little bit of gravy over it. It looked like dog food. Don’t go out of your way like we did to try this place.

We enjoyed an excellent lunch in this cute place. Hubby had meatloaf, and I had a chicken salad with feta, walnuts & cranberries. The salad was quite large and could easily be shared to make room for their baked goods. The cinnamon roll was perfect. We looked at beautiful plants and shopped in their little store. I'm pretty sure that we will make time to go back in the future.

We were attending a musical in Kerrville Friday night and a client suggested trying the Cafe on the Ridge. We had never heard of this amazing place and had no idea it was owned by our friend, Billy Long. We enjoyed every bite of our delicious meal and the service was outstanding. After dinner, we walked among the many plant selections and enjoyed visiting the gift shop. This will be a "go to" place for our family and a special place to take out of town guests. Thank you, Billy

Owner, Billy Long, did a wonderful job of calling us back after the poor review that we made yesterday. Billy did a great job of listening to what happened and then apologizing for the manager. Billy said the manager called him quickly and let him know he had lost his temper. Billy not only listened and apologized, but worked to make amends for the actions of his staff. Really want to commend Billy for calling us back when so many owners and the like, don't. He did a marvelous job of repairing an incident! Great job, Billy! Thank you so much! Appreciate you and all you do!

Manager of restaurant very rude; his excuse for rudeness was that he is working 80 hours a week. While I sympathize with his dilemma, that is not an excuse for being rude. Needs some customer service training; it doesn't matter how tired you are, don't treat the customers poorly -- the customers may have had long days, too, but they don't get to not pay because of that. Waitresses seem to pick up on the manager's poor customer service training and feed off of him if there is a problem -- even ruder if that is possible. Just don't have a problem at the Cafe, as they don't seem to have much training in customer service to handle issues. Hopefully owner will find someone with customer service training at some point. Manager also reeks of smoking, and not from cooking the food, even though he is cooking the food -- eek!

The Ridge Maketplace consists of a plant and gardening store, gardens, a bakery and cafe. We just spent an early spring morning exploring the Marketplace which was very enjoyable. The cafe was cozy, comfortable and clean. We had the Texan breakfast which consisted of chicken fried steak, two eggs, country fries and a biscuit. The steak was breaded crispy but not dry or too crisp as to cover up the steak. The biscuits are nicely crumbly, moderate density, cut and grilled a bit to heat them up. The gravy needed a bit of seasoning as it was bland. Salt and pepper was helpful for the whole meal. This was a very good breakfast and the best we have found in Kerrville. We highly recommend the Cafe, the attached bakery and the gardens.
