Decided to order some crawfish to go which was a terrible mistake. The crawfish was obviously frozen which i could’ve handled if the seasoning wasn’t so terrible. I’ve literally tried crawfish from many places and I’ve NEVER seen the juice or sauce white. I mean what is that? They had a terrible taste and after taste. I threw it away and decided to write a review (which I barely ever do) because I’m surprised they’re allow to serve this to people. Have they even tasted it? I mean it was really BAD! Don’t waste your money!

Saw a lot of cars, heard music playing , decided to stop. Bartender was not a real bartender. I ordered a rum punch. She poured a half ounce of coconut rum in a 24 oz cup that she then filled with ice, cola, and tonic water. My rum punch was brown in color and tasted horrible. I didn't make a fuss. The line was long as the bartender was taking orders from what I deduct were her favorites as they cut the line and just shouted out their orders and she complied. Never mind the people who are patiently waiting in line. The owner right behind her not doing a thing about this. I ordered boiled shrimp. Thinking who can mess up boiled shrimp. Well they can. It took forever and it smelled and tasted like old mop water. I can go on about the restrooms, but if you are reading this, you can just imagine. This place needs to be shut down permanently. Absolutely disgusting.

Come see my girl Theresa at the bar!! She rocks Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday here at fish place! She's the girl you wish you had and the girl that has "Real" written all over her. The rest of the staff including the management rocks too. Show them love and tip the hell out of them. Music vibes and food is a killer. Turn up with the only fam you need. Wait your turn tho cus they in high demand. Respect and love is all you need to bring here and you get it back. Down and out or higher nd with the in, this is your place

We ordered a fisherman's brunch and to our dismay the shrimp were overcooked and hard the oysters were the size of grapes and so hard to chew that I had to spit each oyster out and the fish were dry we were very disappointed.

It is a really cool local spot with pretty good food period the staff our friendly, however, a little under par. They are attentive and do a great job. The atmosphere is far more bar, than sit down restaurant and the staff often appear to be distracted by their phones or their own conversations. Despite this slight annoyance the food is good the drinks are well made and the cop at night instills a sense of safety (yet creates thoughts of of hmmmm why is he here). The manager is amazing friendly and runs a tight ship. So just don't be discouraged by the staff attire or subtle distracted demeanor and stop in for a taste of local cuisine. This post is just a heads up for the expected and to prevent expectation resulting in a bad review. The staff are all sweet and accommodating, maybe Waning in some measures but exceeding in others. Give it a shot just expect a mom and pop vibe.

The fried pickles were ahhh-mazing! The baked potato and salad were great, but the bottled ranch dressing turned what could have been a 5 into a 4!

Great fish and chips. Love the shrimp. Never disappointed. I typically have Fish Place delivered for lunch at work, and it always here quickly. The snapper is good, and they have great rice and beans.

I'm from the area , never venture into la marque . Except for Simps lol. See this place across the street and heard food was good . Definitely a hole in the wall . Took my mom , she's a seafood lover . Food was very good . Got the seafood platter to try some things . Shrimp was good , hushpuppies were awesome and I'm not a bread guy . Never had fried red fish and omg , I'll def order again . Boudin ball was awesome , crab ball was amazing . Even the stuffed jalapeño was amazing . Idk what the above ladies are complaining about . It wasn't frozen stuff maybe the fries . You can tell everything was made with a little extra something . Unless they buy frozen goods idk about . Well good job . Oh , this is a seafood joint right . Bomb ass chips and salsa . Better than some Mexican places . Good job FishPlace ..... would've been 5 stars but bathrooms haven't been renovated since the 80s lol oh well . Food is great .

Place was bright and inviting have music and DJ on Thursday and fridays. Fried shrimp and onions rings were very good. Our waitress was friendly and informative casual fun for drinks and music and snacks. The place was fairly empty then only a few more customers came in and the smell of smoke was overpowering I’m glad we were finished if you don’t like cigarette smoke the I suggest you go elsewhere. Hope you will check back for my next review let’s roll ….Lain
