Stopped in for lunch while I was out for a drive. I intended to get the bangers and mash, but was lured by the weekend roast special with gravy, broccoli and yorkshire pudding. The roast and potatoes were nice with a good flavor (accented by the gravy). They did sprinkle some rosemary over everything which I felt wasn't needed and can over power a little. The pudding was just ok, certainly not the worst I have had. The broccoli was very well done. So many places try to fancy up broccoli and this was just simple, steamed and tasted like broccoli, not some sauce. The music is in perfect theme, perhaps a tad loud for lunch. Tables and atmosphere are all very nice.

We visited Lake Jackson to attend a circus and stopped by this place for some refreshments. However, we could not stay. We ordered two drinks and an appetizer at the bar. The waitress was courteous and served our drinks promptly. My wine was of poor quality, with a stale taste and my husband complained that his beer had a metallic flavor. While we were waiting for our food, a gnat landed in my wine, and I noticed many more gnats behind the bar. We chose to leave at that moment. The waitress was apologetic.

First visit and it was amazing! We sat on the patio and waitress offered water for my dog. The staff is extremely helpful (suggested the onion rings and they are delicious). The burger was very good and the chips (fries) were perfect. We will definitely be back!

I got the lunch special fish and chips and French onion soup. The soup didn't really seem like they made an effort at all. I saw no evidence of onions. It seemed like they had just opened up a can of onion broth, put a piece of bread on it, and melted it. It wasn't bad but not memorable at all. The same can be said of the fish-and-chips. The fish came out piping hot, but the batter was just OK. It wasn't seasoned very much, and although I didn't not like it,. it was not very memorable.

On this day, we did not get a chance to eat. We were a large party and before our food arrived they started having electrical issues. The waitstaff was extremely apologetic and professional during this time. After a couple of plates came out, we unfortunately had to evacuate. I've dined here before and the food is always consistent and delicious. The only time I ever had an issue is when I ordered creme brulee to go and only received a 1/2 order.

Had lunch there today. Found a hair in my salad. I was given 50% off my salad, because that's all they could do. The manager never came to speak to me or look at the salad. I have never received such poor customer service in this type of situation
