My wife and I routinely drive from Bastrop to Lakeway, 50 minutes each direction, just to dine at the Sundancer Grille. We LOVE their food and the fantastic lake atmosphere. Every table in the indoor dining room offers magnificent views of the lake and nearby marina as most walls are full windows. There's rarely a long wait and the staff is always friendly. If they have the ingredients, they'll even cook up something special for you that's not on the menu. Great place and we're picky!

We visited Sundancer Grill while we were staying at Lakeway Resort & Spa. We had a great experience. The staff was very friendly & inviting upon arrival, throughout our stay, and also upon us leaving, the staff was very thankful for our visit. The food was delicious! I had the shrimp & grits and my husband had chicken and waffles. The shrimp & grits had a cajun kick to it, with a lot of spice, but I enjoyed it. We had mimosas to drink, which we enjoyed as well! The view of the lake is also a plus, and they have outside seating available as well. The atmosphere was nice and peaceful. I would definitely recommend this place if visiting the area!

The crab hush puppies were a bit too soft in my opinion, the fries were a little soggy and not crisp. The catfish however was very tasty and large. The bathroom is interesting to say the least, almost reminded me of an expanded porta potty.

What a great place to have a drink and unwind with friends! We ordered the Chingita chimichangas and they were absolutely delicious! We mostly came to drink and the margaritas did not disappoint.

We came in, there were loads of tables open however there was no host, just a bunch of people by the front looking confused. Someone came around. Eventually to let us know it’d be about 10-30 minutes. After an hour and some change they sat a bigger party that came in about 20 min after us. We gave it another 10 minutes and ended up leaving. What a waste of time

We cannot say enough positive things about this restaurant! Christina was absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend her service enough. This restaurant has a dog friendly patio and DELICIOUS food that was so easy to find keto options on the menu. Beautiful view, atmosphere, and location to boot.

The restaurant was absolutely delicious. Our server was so amazing. She took very good care of our table. I was sharing the Jamaican joke fish sandwich and she split it and put it into separate baskets ? the small things matter ! the menu is absolutely amazing. There’s so many great choices especially for the appetizers the chicken, Thai salad wraps amazing. The fried avocado is a must try!Definitely recommend

This has been a fav of ours for the past couple of years but this past Saturday was a huge miss.Burgers and fries heavily salted with sea salt to the point the fries were inedible.Ironically, the burger didn’t even taste that great, despite all the salt or maybe because of it!Server was friendly and prompt, so no complaints there, but we will wait awhile before returning.Seated next to a large, very noisy table of eight didn’t add much.

We didn't get to eat here, meaning we didn't stay. The place was somewhat busy, but the bar only had two types of random beer. I'm unsure if that's the norm here, but it was definitely lacking. The bartender was busy waiting tables but was a nice guy. We said we would be back but I'm not sure it was for us.
