Really bad and poor service and food, We were there on the weekend, the cheese board only has 1 type of cheese, which was old and dry, the slice was so thin that you could see the other side, plus the menu says it comes with “fresh”fruits, and We only received (40 minutes later) a bunch of watery and wrinkled grapes.

Exquisite Spanish food. Absolutely the best! The best entertainment musicians on stage and the best romantic setting anywhere! I truly love this place! Fantastic service too. Very reasonable pricing! A must experience to enjoy! If ever possible 6 out of 5 stars!

This place is a hidden gem. Its a hole in the wall tapas bar in the rough side of town. Great place to have a drink, but bad place to have a meal. Ive been there 6-8 times but have only ordered food twice. The first was a big disappointment, but I gave it another chance recently since the first time I ordered they had recently opened. Well, let me tell you what, the second time was a big disappointment, too. We ordered the jamón serrano and cheese tapa plate first. The portion was minuscule paper thin slice of jamon and manchego. Barely enough for a one, but no way for a couple. Next the paella showed up. It was lackluster and flavorless with them having no clue of what the national dish of Spain should consist of. The rice was bland without a hint of saffron color or smoked paprika, garlic, parsley etc. The dish was missing lots of flavor along with lots of missing seafood, pork and chicken. I didn't get a picture because of the dim lighting but it didnt merit a picture. Also, the waiter didnt give us bread to go with the paella. What kind of Spanish restaurant doent give bread with the paella. The sangria is good and the atmosphere is decent for being Laredo. I'll be back for sangria but I'll have dinner before going there again. Salud!

Recently visited the Spanish restaurant Casa Lopez Tapas Bar with friends. We were very satisfied! The atmosphere in the restaurant is incredible, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I really liked the variety of dishes from the menu. Prices correspond to the quality of food and service. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to plunge into the atmosphere of Spanish cuisine and passionate music.

Place is really chill and great for a night out with friends or loved ones... food choices are good and not the same usual types of foods found around town... give it a try!

It was our first time to this establishment. I was under the impression we needed reservations, because we were turned back the last time for not making reservations. They're only open Fri, Sat, & Sun from 7pm to 12 i believe. No 1 answered the phone before to make the reservation nor did I get a call back (I left a message)ANYWAYS. We decided to just go again and see what happens. Located in a very run down part of the city, as soon as you walk in though the doors, you're in another place. You forget about the outside world. The atmosphere is the best part. I'll go as far as to say "The best in Laredo". The food was great too.The chicken and shrimp ? sherry/lemon/buttery sauce is to to die for! The Lopez plate, presented in what I think is an oak barrel plate, had a nice blend of cold meats, cheese, and olives. Spicy potatoes could have been a bit spicier, but still inviting. I loved the calamari. All washed down with a pitcher of refreshing ? Sangria. We shared a Flan just to try it out. Not a bad way of topping dinner off. The portions were good. Just note that the flan is more of a personal size. Service wasn't as good as the food, but hey it's laredo. We ran low on our water, and took about 30mins to pick up the tab (the card was sticking out and at the edge of the table for that long) There was maybe 5 tables tops, so I don't see what excuse they would use for overseeing this. We didn't mind, again the Live music was welcoming. As we existed the doors, we were Slapped in the face with the stench of raw sewerage. It basically said "Welcome back to Laredo's downtown" I can't blame them for this. This is a city problem. The Bars on It street, the Tack room, etc they all suffer from this... So if you're looking for a romantic dinner with live entertainment, and excellent food, AND are unfortunate enough to be stuck in Laredo, I highly recommend Casa Lopez. Great Work Guys!!Kid-friendliness: They do have a kid's menu so I guess children are welcomedParking: I don't believe they have a parking. The warehouse across the street is closed during those times. I used the street on that side..
