About as local as they come, places like this are dotted all over Austin, and you really should check them out. Excellent food, even more excellent tacos, and most excellent chips and salsa verde. Pretty much my go to for comfort food….

Kid-friendliness: It's open and relaxed going in and I've never had a issue of service or food.Parking: Front and back parking a plus Wheelchair accessibility: It has ramps to make it easy to come in.

I was craving fajitas, so I decided to order from Taqueria Chapala. I had the chicken fajita plate, and my husband had the chile relleno. The portions are definitely a good size. My husband said his chile relleno was very tasty. My fajitas were very good too! I had corn tortillas with mine and my husband had flour. I was a bit disappointed since the tortillas were store bought and not homemade. Tortillas are usually all homemade in the Mexican restaurants I had been too previously. However, they do give you a decent amount of tortillas unlike other restaurants. The beans could have used a bit more salt, and the rice was a bit underdone (although not by much). I would recommend Taqueria Chapala for some decent Tex-Mex. I'll be eating there again for sure!

First time trying them and all I can say is, delicious! I ordered tacos al pastor combo, and was not disappointed! Fast, friendly service. Will definitely be returning!

Very pricey for product. No sides. Have eaten at other restaurants that include sides and drink for same price. Also, Only one type of salsa given.
Beautifully put together,great music to get you dancing but even better food and drinks!

On Friday evening, September 20, 2019, around 8PM we used Door Dash to order dinner to be delivered to the hotel we were staying at. Soon after we placed our order we received a phone call letting us know the queso was no longer available. We were pleased with the quick response to let us know and ability to select another item. We ordered chicken flautas and enchiladas meals. Both were delicious and arrived warm.

Seven girlfriends and I wandered into this restaurant two nights ago. We were boisterous and happy - not crazy or ill-mannered, but certainly not quiet! We were treated with cheerful courtesy throughout our visit. The margaritas were wonderful and the food was tasty, plentiful and well-priced. I would definitely go back to this great restaurant!

Great food and amazing flavors. Unfortunately, waitress was dry and flat. Barely spoke. If we said thank you she wouldn't even respond. Then she was on her phone while we waited forever for the check. It's sad such a great place with such a poor server/waitress.
