I’m new to drinking neat whiskey and was met here with knowledgeable and patient staff and bartenders!I highly recommend the whiskey flight.If I ever make it back out to Lewisville I’ll certainly stop in for a tour. My only regret is not bringing a checked bag because their No. 5 is one of my favorite whiskeys I’ve had so far

I will give BENDT Distilling 5 Stars for what they do. The tour was remarkable. John was personable and delivered the information in a light, sometimes humorous, easy to understand format. The whole place smells amazing and is very clean. BENDT has processes that are slightly different from what I have seen in other tours, but they stand behind their philosophies and the quality of their products speak for themselves. Our cocktails from the bar were absolutely impeccable!! The recipes they offer are genius and perfectly mixed to perfection with complete balance and quality.Now, the negative.... and this is a personal issue, and many will not view this as an indictment on BENDT, which is why I believe they do still deserve 5 Stars. BENDT has dismal food offerings. We began to order food, and our server stated that he "would have to check on the food situation." He never returned. The food offerings are light. I would have easily spent $500 last night (easily would have ordered 10-15 cocktails between the two of us and dinner) if they had steaks or chicken and maybe a gourmet salad selection. I understand that BENDT is a distilling company and not a restaurant, but I will say that I was disappointed that we had to leave to eat dinner. Yes, it was poor planning on our part as we should have done dinner first, but then we would not have done the 5pm tour, but that is the latest tour time they offer on Saturday.

Went for a distillery tour on Friday that I bought on Groupon. Got a drink to take with me on the tour. Jam jar. It was delicious. Tour was very informative and took about an hour with a tasting at the end. The seasonal spirit was a cinnamon rum. I ended up buying 3 different bottles. The cinnamon rum, bendt 5 and a bottle of their old fashion. Before buying them I talked to the cashier she was very helpful. I wanted to make sure that my Groupon was processed since I didn't show anyone but I registered online. So she said it was good. I was so worried about making sure they got paid. I forgot to get my free souvenir. ?

Such a great place. First time visit tonight. Perfect date night with the hubby. Really enjoyed the old fashion and the bourbon creme. The red pepper hummus was delicious. Had a wonderful smokey taste. We will definitely be back again

Great to have a place like this in the metroplex. We will return. Had a whiskey flight paired with different kinds of jerky. My favorite of the flight was the malted whiskey. Also had and a sandwich with prosciutto and brie. All was very good. Outdoor area too.

The drinks were delicious from the mocktails to the cocktails. The fresh food was indeed fresh and plated nicely with a large selection. All of the bartenders/wait staff were very attentive and kind. The live music really set the vibe and it was a great experience and we will be returning for sure! I highly reccomend visiting Bendt Distillery.

I loved the tour and tasting here. We had a wonderful tour guide and learned so much on the tour of the distillery (about an hour long). The tasting at the end of the tour was a great time, and don’t skip on enjoying some cocktails in the tasting hall! They have plenty of craft cocktails for every palette. Bendt Distillery in Lewisville used to be known as Witherspoon Distillery when I visited it several years ago. It was the first distillery I've visited outside of Kentucky to produce bourbon whiskey. Fun fact- although mostly known as a spirit famously produced in Kentucky, United States Code does allow bourbon whiskey to produced in all other US states and territories- provided they adhere to all other requirements. There still are distillery tours and samples, a store, and a large bar area. When a high school buddy & I decided to stop by for a night cap, we decided to sit outside on the patio. Bendt's patio is huge, as big as the bar & store put together. They have picnic benches and the night we stopped by, solo live entertainment by Ashton Edminster. As we were winding down the night after a huge barbeque dinner, I got an Irish Coffee with Bendt Bourbon Irish Cream. It was a cool Dallas night (about a week after 100+ degree F daytime highs), so the warmth of the Irish Coffee was quite comforting! It was great to finish catching up with my high school buddy in such pleasant circumstances. A special shoutout to the singer, Ashton. When I went to tip her, It was weird at first to see her Venmo barcode, but of course- the newer generations would rather send her money instead of giving. All in all, a good time was had by all. As I usually make Lewisville my homebase during a Dallas visit, I'll definitely return to Bendt's, especially to try their Happy Hour (Mon-Sat 7 pm to close) or Sunday Specials (available all day Sun)! Repeat and recommend!

We had an amazing 50th birthday party here! The catering menu is great. The food was fabulous, especially the sandwich boards, charcuterie boards and dip boards! Our rowdy crowd was so well taken care of by the lovely service staff and the entire event booking process was so easy. I highly recommend!!!!

I came here at 12pm to enjoy some whiskey.I barely have any ideas about whiskey, so i started with tasting. Bartenders' explanation was very helpful for me to understand whiskey, and those are very good. I would highly recommend to try the whiskey tasting. I also ordered proscuitto&brie sandwich, and the flavor was somewhat different from my expectation, in a super good way. So tasty!My friend's favorite was Bourbon cream. I think it tastes very similar with baileys or kahlua to me anyway.The owner(i assume) was very friendly, and baretenders were super nice too. (And soooo pretty *cough*cough*)One of the bartenders with glasses kinda describe the life in Texas for us so it was quite informative to me too. I wish i can visit here next time again!
