Food was excellent. Server had a fantastic attitude but took a while to take our order and bring refills on drinks...and brought wrong drinks (sweet instead of unsweet). It was a pleasant experience and we will go back, but it wasn't the best I've ever had.

Flavor is there, cold lobster tail, cold steak. At least they didn’t screw up the woodford.

I've been going to Longhorn steakhouse for many years now. I was down in corpus and would go there, great service, food and management. Moved to SA and went to the location on San Pedro, same as corpus location, never had a bad meal. Tonight my wife and I decided to try the location in Live Oak and had a bad experience. We waited at least 10 minutes before anyone came to greet us. It took at least another 10 min to get our waters. Salad and steaks came out before the appetizer. My wife's salad dressing was wrong but she decided to eat it anyways because of the poor service already. Both steaks were very undercooked so we asked to speak with a manager. Vick, the manager tried to make things right but it seemed he was annoyed by our complaints. Second steak came out better but still undercooked a bit. Seems like it was cooked on one side because it was rare not in the middle but on the bottom side of the steak. Then they brought my first steak back out with a side of mashed potatoes, which wasn't my side order, and said they cooked it more. So evidently there was miscommunication about the steak because they made a new one and continued to cook the old one. After we paid the check and were leaving Vick came up and asked how things were. My wife replied that the steak was still undercooked and he replied that they must need to check their thermometers, which was obviously a remark to make it seem like we don't know how a steak should be cooked. No Vick, there are many more things that need to be checked.Long story short, this location seems very chaotic and tonight was definitely lacking in many areas. I will continue to go to Longhorn but just not this location. Very sub par

We celebrated my dad's 80th/20th leap year birthday today. We're normally vegetarians, but my dad really wanted a steak for his special day. He got a ribeye and was so, so happy. Mom and I got the grilled shrimp with tomato butter and hubby had chicken tenders. We also had the chowder and potato soup. Everything was so delicious! Like, first bite makes you go "ohhh" delicious. Caroline was our server and she alone is a reason for us to go back. She was absolutely delightful! She brought my dad a birthday sundae with "happy birthday" written in chocolate syrup and it was the perfect way to end our meal. Overall, it was a fantastic meal and it really made my dad's day!

My husband and I went for Valentines day and were pretty disappointed. We usually go to Saltgrass steak house if we want steak but longhorn is fairly new to the neighborhood so we decided to eat local. We started with the brisket queso that was an awesome appetizer although some of the chips were a little chewy. The salads were also pretty good, lots of veggies but a little too much iceburg. The steak is where it all fell apart. My go to is always the ribeye, It is always tender and in my opinion the best cut. I am not sure that what I got was a rib eye, it seemed more like a sirloin. it didn't have the usual marbeling and it was tougher than any rib eye I have ever had.On top of that, it was way too salty. I ate maybe a third of it and just couldn't eat anymore. I asked the waiter about it and he checked to make sure he had ordered the correct steak and he did. About the seasoning, he said they robustly season all of their steaks. I think we will stick to our old stand by .
