I don't know who the Cashier(s) for the store front/gas station report to, by the Manager, Lady, and the worker on 3/28/24 at 4:45PM were extremely RUDE! I will definitely take my future business for gas elsewhere... Less attitude! I would avoid this location at all cost, in my opinion.

I always stop here on the way back to Dallas from Louisiana. The bathrooms are large and always clean. Plenty of options for food and snacks. It’s an easy on and off from the highway as well.Kid-friendliness: Perfect for kids
I visited the smokehouse this evening to get BBQ for dinner with my wife. Texas Best BBQ is typically a preference of mine in the family. I usually like the meat, the sides, and the sauce. However, today will be the last time I ever visit this location because of 1 poor attitude employee. The lady working the chop block tonight behaves in a spiteful manner to customers who prefer better brisket than the fatty part of a small end piece she has stored below the counter. Her response seems to be to whisper argue back and cut a smaller serving to spite them. Because of her, I'll go elsewhere from now on.The photo included is of the serving she cut after. The smallest serving of meat I've received on a plate anywhere, ever.

Absolutely terrible service. Won’t be back, brisket was subpar for being Texas’ best smoke house. The lady Currie brisket struggled to get it cut because it was so tough. My sides were cold and had no flavor.

When I say Henry and his Co worker was so professional and welcome us like we were family! They most definitely need a raise the way he advertised that brisket. I would have brought 3 whole ones! Me and my fiance was some happy lovers after we left... lol After eating a Loaded Baked Potato and Loaded Nachoes with Brisket on Top! We are up to no good on the highway; heading back to Shreveport!Thanks Henri and Big Guy for being so welcoming We will be coming back again!

For the life of me I can't figure out why these people don't know how to make a proper chopped brisket sandwich. Instead of cutting equally from both the point and the flat to have a good balance they trim from the flat leaving a dry flavorless overpriced sandwich. The only saving grace are the free topping of onions, peppers, pickles, and sauce. The sides are good. There are no showers or laundry here, the parking lot is small but there's another lot behind Dennys so in total there are about 30 spaces or so. The store itself is clean and has all the snacks and drinks you could want.

Customer service is excellent in restraunt and truck stop. The food is great for a truck stop. We ordered the texas cow patty and it was good but a little dry could have been better with more liquid in the beans.Easy to add your own fixins at home, on the road I suggest extra bbq sauce.
We are from Fort Hood Tx. On our way home stopped at Texas Best Smokehouse. My husband had the brisket and I had the pulled pork!! I give this restaurant a 5 ????? star DELICIOUS TENDER AND SEASONED JUST RIGHT! FRIENDLY POLITE EMPLOYEES AND MANGER! IF YOU ARE IN LONGVIEW TX OR JUST DRIVING THRU YOU HAVE TO STOP.

Casier was rude and the employee that prepared my plate added a big plop of burnt fat meat right on top of the lean meat. I literally had more vegetables than meat. I wouldn't eat there again AT ALL! I paid $16 plus dollars for a $7 plate. Never again!

Subtracted 1 Star bc they get their greasy latex gloves all on the to-go box and plastic sack... Which then can get all over whatever you set it on. But, I resolved that by getting a second sack and when I got in my semi truck I just left it in it. Brisket had good flavor but was a bit dry. You know it's dry when it completely breaks into little niblet pieces. The ribs were FANTASTIC. The red skin mashed potatoes were TERRIFIC. (I wish they had gravy for it) The peach cobbler was terrible... Barely any peaches, a ton of top crust dough, and worst of all it has some extra spice in it beside cinnamon... Possibly nutmeg, not sure. But, the nutmeg spice ruined it totally. I trashed it. The dinner roll was DELICIOUS! ? Opposed to someone's else's review saying they received small portions for their sides...my seemed generous! Pleasant staff on duty. Price seemed fair, for BBQ. Good BBQ isn't cheap anywhere. NEXT TIME... I'll order ribs, mashed potatoes, and Mac.Parking: About 20 trucker slots. Decent grass around for dogs. Fairly clean outside.... And PLEASE KEEP IT THAT WAY so that they don't run is truckers off.

Absolutely delicious texas barbecue! Today's special was beef tips in gravy and rice, two sides, corn bread, and a drink. Extremely healthy serving, enough for two people at an affordable price. Staff was very polite and friendly. I highly recommend this mouth watering restaurant.
