While on business in Lubbock, Tx. I did quick search for nearby restaurants and That's how I found Jazz Louisiana Kitchen. When I first walked in there were Autographed Dollar Bills taped to the walls at the entrance, I wondered about that, but forgot to ask about it.The restaurant had a casual atmosphere at about half capacity of guest and the aromafrom the kitchen smelled great !I looked around for a hostess and the staff seemed busy and I asked a couple sitting nearby, Do you seat yourself or go up to the bar to order ? They said to seat yourself, So, I did, I sat there for few minutes and a young woman who I thought was my server came up and handed me a menu and asked me "What would you like to have" I said, I haven't been here before, I need to look at the menu, I would like a glass of water. She turned and walked away. Then it was about 15 minutes later another woman brought me the requested water and a basket of dried bread & butter. Her name was Sam and she had a good attitude & personality.I asked her where my server was and she said "I am your server" I then asked who was the previous woman who waited on me and disappeared? She said that was the hostess. That was strange. So, Sam answered my questions on a few menu items.I chose the seafood linguini and it was delicious, the sauce made the dish very flavorful. The downside is only a few slivers of fish in it, but plenty of pasta.I ordered a small cup of gumbo. But it wasn't anything like the restaurants serve in Louisiana or Houston area. I still would like to try some of their other selections, maybe next time in town.Give it a Go, You just might likeit.Parking: It's in a strip mall

What a nice place to eat good Cajun style food. I enjoyed the shrimp creole. a few of the shrimp were slightly tough, but overall, it was very good. Great service, although it wasn't busy at this time of day, after lunch. Clean, comfortable, and extremely relaxing restaurant. I will definitely come again and try another dish.

Stopped there for a quick bite down the street from my hotel. Catfish and french fries were hot and crispy. The staff was nice and the price was right.

The atmosphere is definitely different from most restaurants we have been to.The food was okay. Our pasta was a bit cold. It's possible it may have been us sitting under an ac vent.Staff was outstanding to help with the questions we had. It's definitely worth trying. Eat here if you haven't before or come back after you try it! There are so many options to choose from. The price of most items costs more than $15, so be prepared.

Crawfish tasted like a swamp monster dug it out of the toilet and put it on a plate. Food was cold, truly don’t think it was even heated to the proper temperature before serving. Sucks to suck ✌️

I have dined at Jazz for 40 years. Tonight was tough. The food came out at room temperature and the condiment containers on the table were dirty. The tables around us were having the same issues.

This is not a rush dining atmosphere. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. It is reminiscent of old dive bars in New Orleans. Sam and Anastasia took great care of us. Be aware that the portions are large and so is the southern hospitality.
