Top notch place. Ambience- amazing. Service- kind and excellent, very quick. Food- WOW. Delicious. The broth and noodles were just fantastic. Will definitely come back! And the prices are so so affordable! I've been to chain ramen/pho places that are SO EXPENSIVE and not even half as good as this place. Definitely support, you won't regret it!

The soup base is excellent. Food is great. Service is first rate. Highly recommended. They are open 365 days a year.

I LOVE coming here it is my favorite ramen spot in Lubbock. The food is always fresh, the staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is very chic. Also they have a wide selection of Japanese beer that most places do not. If you're looking for a solid dinner date consider Ken Chan Ramen I recommend the brisket rice bowl, sub white rice for fried rice!

Came in to order to-go, sat where ever I wanted. Menus basic nice straight to the point. Figured out my order pretty quick and sat and waited staring at the waiter. While waiting and looking the direction of the waiter there was a kitchen staff just locking eyes with me. It was obvious I was waiting for the waiter nope the guy just continued to stare. After new people came in waiter said after he helps them he will help me. After a while finally came around, I ordered a #1 with eel brisket pork the works. I have been to many ramen places and I have never had to add a sauce or spices to a ramen broth... until now. The noodles smelled... the broth was like buying a carton of bone broth from the grocery store and taking salt and setting it next to the broth so the broth can absorb the air that passes by the salt. I added 3 packs of soy sauce... I will say this the meats were decent the first 2 bites. I have to say the eel was the best maybe because it was drenched in eel sauce. Yeah wasted 30 plus dollars... won't come back.

We ordered the dumplings and egg rolls as our appetizers and they were hot and delicious. For our main dishes we ordered the brisket rice bowl, chicken ramen, and the kids chicken platter. Everything had great flavor! The server was attentive eventhough she had several tables. I see alot of people say this place is better for smaller groups but I had a big group and we still had great service and enjoyed the food

Ken-chan immediately earns high marks for an air of authenticity from the moment you pull up in the parking lot. The slatted windows and alternating red and white paper lanterns are a well designed modern take on tradition with a grand opening banner proclaiming "Ramen from Japan", they have a lot to live up to. The interior decor doesn't fall short either. Who doesn't love any rendition of the great wave print? The first thing you notice is an entire wall of refrigerators full of sake and beer. It feels like they have high hopes of turning this into an izakaya in the evenings. As they're both new and popular, it seems like a tight shift with just enough staff to keep things running. But I was proper stoked when I caught first glance of the menu. Gyoza was a given. The gyoza at any proper ramen restaurant is the number one tell of just how good the joint is. At first bite I knew this Ken-chan guy must've spent time in Japan. This is the best gyoza I've had stateside in many years. And yes, it's properly pan-fried, the ONLY way to make gyoza. I ordered a bowl of curry ramen. While it did not disappoint, there are improvements that could be made. Notably more broth and maybe fewer noodles. In any case, the chashu ramen is always the better barometer on how good the ramen is, so I'll be back to give that a shot. The spring rolls are good if that's your thing. The fried rice was to die for! So now I have a second reason to return. Prices are as expected for ramen restaurants at this level of quality. It's well worth it. Service was good, I just think they could use an extra waiter for peak times. I'm looking forward to returning again soon.

Good food good service. I would recommend the ribeye bowl and the tonkotsu char siu ramen. Meat quality is great. The inside also has a nice vibe with the sleek looking wall of ice cold beverages. great spot for ramen.

This is NOT authentic Japanese food! I couldn't even eat it. It smelled horrible and a bunch of Chinese are making the food back in the kitchen. After living and working in Japan, it was a total mistake trying this place. Don't waste your time here, yuck.

This place was really really good! The inside is very nice and unique and the food was delicious! The only thing is I wish they offered a larger size as I finished my entire bowl and still left a little hungry. But it was very very good!

This place should be called Katy-Chan LOL The food was great but they ONLY played Katy Perry songs the entire time we were there. It was funny at first but on the third rendition of Last Friday Night I was like OKAY ALREADY lol. I wonder if the chef really likes her music! It played nonstop! ?

Definitely one of the most unique places to visit in Lubbock! Its food and Ken Chan buns are the best! I’ve had nothing but absolute best experience in the two times I have visited. The food leaves you feeling so full in the end! The bowels serve quite a good amount too! Though I know the food might not be acquire everyone’s taste. It is still a good place to try out! Highly recommend their ramen and rice bowels!

Ken Chan Ramen is your go-to spot for some legit, delicious ramen with vibes that are just as good. The waitstaff were so kind and welcoming. The place is decked out beautifully, making you feel like you've stepped into a cozy spot in Japan. The owner, who's super friendly and knows his stuff (he trained in Japan!), serves up mouth-watering ramen. Plus, the appetizers--think yummy buns and takoyaki--are the perfect start to your meal. And let's not forget the drinks; the sake and beer prices are cheap, and kids would love those fun Japanese drinks with the popping ball. It's the perfect chill spot for hanging out with friends, trying some new drinks, and diving into some seriously good ramen with perfectly cooked and marinated ramen eggs. I hope this place gets the attention it deserves and we can enjoy it for many years.
