Wow! So glad I found this spot in downtown Lubbock! It is behind the Cotton Court Hotel and the food is killer. Authentic and very good. Dude makes a solid margarita as well. Big place with lots of TVs, big bar area and massive food menu. I enjoyed a late dinner and then breakfast later in the week. I will go here every time I am in LBk.

Never been there, so I decided to try it this evening. The rice had absolutely no flavor. The salsa was nothing but tomato juice.Wont be back.

$20 for 2 burritos and a drink. Tortilla filled with al carbon and potatoes. This must have been a prize winning pig but not at all impressed with what came in my bag or my burrito. (Taste most of all). Salsa was bland, both (green / roja). Makes me wonder the reason why the dining room looked the same. Don’t get me wrong, much more impressive than other taquerias but why not?…..business was slow and everyone should keep this place spotless. Mind you it was 3:30 but is this when the price of food goes up? 2 burritos and a fountain drink. Normally pay $12 for the same order. Just need an explanation for paying $8 more. Why?

We were looking for a restaurant to have our sister’s luncheon. We wanted good food, great service, quiet location and elegant. A friend of mine recommended this place. We got everything we wanted. We were all impressed with the atmosphere and service. Great waitress. (Sorry I can’t remember her name) but she took good care of us. Food was delicious. The only thing was that the margarita’s were a little bland. Not enough flavor except for the strawberry(frozen) margarita was good. I would highly recommend this place to friends and family or even just gatherings for ourselves. Thank you very much.

I really wanted to like this place. I love hole in the wall restaurants. This one was not good and I would not recommend. We came for lunch and we were the only people in the place (that should have been a sign) and when our food arrived, they brought the complete wrong plate for me. My wife’s was correct and she basically finished her entire meal before what I actually ordered arrived. One of my pet peeves is when servers take your order without writing it down and then get it wrong. Either write it down or get it right. After my food arrived I asked for a side of sour cream because the sour cream my food came with was melted over the lettuce and not even useable. It was like a dressing over the lettuce. I only ate a couple of bites of my meal because it was not good at all. Also, we didn’t even use the sour cream they brought because my wife already finished her meal and I didn’t eat hardly any of mine. They attempted to charge us for the sour cream and when we asked about being charged for something we didn’t get the first time, the waitress wanted to argue about it. They finally took off the sour cream (we didn’t use) and we paid for the entire meal even though I didn’t even eat mine. When I discussed our experience with the manager, he basically just blew us off. I even gave him advance notice that I was going to be posting a negative review and he said, “okay.”Oh well, live and learn. I love posting positive reviews and hate posting negative reviews because I think people don’t post their good experiences enough, but when it’s warranted, I feel the right thing to do is post my experience that can prepare others and help people improve. Hopefully they will use this review to get better.

Food was average, nothing special. We left a nice cash tip and paid the bill with a credit card. They changed the receipt and added another tip to it! They won't get the opportunity to screw us over again!

I went to eat with family and ordered the Jalisco plate. It had a lot of jalapeño slices and very few chicken and chorizo pieces. The jalapeño slices were super spicy and ended up making my stomach hurt.
