Placed seemed cool but the bartender working on 3/16/2024 was rude as hell. We were sitting at a table forever before she came and helped us .... When she did it seemed like it was a burden to her. The I watched her go to another table with a guy that had a leg cast on and tell him when he is ready to order he can come to the bar. WTF. Don't usually leave reviews but this was bad enough for me to leave one. It's a shame for such a cool place.

Blink and you'll miss it. My wife and I were in town for the latter part of the week and were really wanting a good cocktail. Something better than what your standard restaurant bar can offer. On the recommendation of an employee at the restaurant where we had dinner, we found this place. There's no signage so keep your eyes peeled for the single door entrance on the face of the brick building. The ambiance, service, and drinks were AWESOME. This place was exactly what I was looking for and I will be back again the next time we are in town.

The drinks are awesome and Holly is just the best! They use one big ice cube in their drinks so the flavor is never watered-down. Great atmosphere, as well. I'm not sure if they have food.

So what do you do when the airlines don't let you change your flight and you're stuck in Lubbock on a Saturday? A bar crawl, of course! We literally stumbled upon Shotgun Sue's (after lunch at La Diosa Cellars and drinks at Triple J - also good spots.) This is a very cool traditional cocktail bar, one that makes you belly up 2 drinks longer than you plan. Mariela was a welcoming and gracious host and made us a delicious Black Gold (contender for best Espresso Martini ever). Then we met Tim, the proprietor. If you are very lucky, you will do a Papa Dulce shot with him. One of the coolest cocktail experiences I've ever had. He's a master craftsman, and generally cool af. Thank god he didn't become an architect, and decided to design delicious cocktails instead! If you are ever in Lubbock, and have a thirst, Shotgun Sue's is a MUST. cheers......

This place is really cool! You walk in and you immediately are taken back to the Wild West. It is a western saloon style bar with so much to look at and take in. Plus, the drinks are amazing! The menu has a light in the spine, which was so helpful esp. with dim lighting. Service was great! Bartender was amazing! I went here with friends for the Lubbock Chilton Trail this past week and we were not disappointed! Highly recommend, I will definitely be coming back!

Shotgun Sue's has lots of atmosphere in a fairly small space. The bar is gorgeous and there are lots of memorabilia on the walls. They serve bottled beer and because of that they are able to have a very wide selection to choose from, as opposed to only having a few draft beers. Where they really shine is their cocktails. Not fruity drinks with umbrellas, but interesting concoctions that have some great taste to them. Make sure and check social media for their days and hours open as they are a new business and those things might change.
